  1. we've been waiting for the "cover the receivers" adjustment for oh.....10 yrs
  2. all day to throw though. but he tries to thread the needle tween 3 defenders. 🙄
  3. they probably are getting better but sometimes I wonder. there was one play in particular Sat nite that befuddles me. late in the game 3rd and 2 inside the 10. Everybody in the stadium knows it's a run. Now, with all the Srs on the O line, you think they would have some leeway to "audible" out of the planned assignments? Maybe that's just not done. I don't know. Somebody up there should have seen the 7 D linemen chomping at the bit and realized that it's 7 on 7 and made the call for everybody to put a hat on the guy in front of you and don't worry about releasing to the LBs , pulling guards, and the double teams. If you get beat one on one, so be it. (looking at you Center) but DON't give them a free run into the backfield.
  4. How can a back consistently get hit a millisecond after taking the handoff??!
  5. that would be the way to go based on his speed etc. but if he's never run that style, he's not learning it in a few weeks, maybe not even months.
  6. Thank you. Coaches like Gus we're late to the game on this. Players want to get PAID, i.e. play on Sunday. Don't care what school they play for, just prepare me for the NFL. Gus couldn't have cared less. Just wanted to run his offense.
  7. have they ever practiced the onsides kick? makes you wonder
  8. so there's never an open receiver when Ashford scrambles? not one. anywhere?
  9. wish #4 would hit the hole without stutter stepping. just plow ahead and get the first
  10. if not mistaken, he let the defender in on Finley that caused the fumble
  11. thank you. that makes waaay more sense. figured something was skewing the numbers
  12. So....it's actually 2nd down that's setting up the failure on 3rd down?
  13. like the countless lunging leaving your feet arm tackles behind LOS that , wait there's another just now, that they've missed
  14. he's not a football player. not a knock, just doesn't have the innate skills of a dude that's been playing QB since 3rd grade.,
  15. this will be interesting. all game 3rd and short runs up middle
  16. as a former Olineman in high school. it should be second nature to be aware of the LB's or backside pressure if you don't have someone lined up directly over you. helping out on a triple team is the easy way out.
  17. I'm almost ready to five 65 a pass. It's possible that #4 was supposed to go to that side and block, seeing as how he kinda went left and looked lost, like ummm "now....who am I supposed to block? oh, right, I'll get in on this triple team while my QB runs for his life" If that's the case (and it's probably not) then why have your RB blocking a DL and not the OLineman?
