Based on past practice the Sec tournament is only good for bubble teams. Other than that if u are already in, it doesn’t matter if u lose the first game or win the entire tournament

A loss to Purdue or UConn isn’t the same as a loss to App State. If that’s the case imagine if Auburn had lost to Alabama State or AAMU

Don’t forget App State would have been a great win as well

Something positives are all the top seeds have lost games and had some dudes. Auburn has fared very well in neutral site games

I believe it’s possible. Gotta finish better at the rim , make the free throws and value the ball. Those throw ahead turnovers drive me nutz

I really think it’s a raw deal that it could be a potential Auburn / UAB matchup in the second round. On top of that is on the other side of the country

I think total body of work has to be the case Auburns OOC foes don’t compare to Bama, KY and Tenn. I can see the committee rewarding teams for having the courage to play against tougher team in a tournament or agreed neutral sight. The tournament that Auburn played against UConn in was very different from exciting. Auburn had a real good showing against Duke even though Cooper didn’t play

I am thinking Strength of schedule has to come in somewhere. They also played Creighton , Clemson and beat Oregon who is hit right now. If Auburn played those teams probably be sitting at a 2 seed . The same applies for Tennessee and KY tougher OOC

I am thinking similar to 2021. Auburn had a few defensive collapses late that cost them. It was a good game though . Auburn can beat them is they clean up the missed free throws and layups. All points matter in the tourney and have the capitalize. Have to get past Yale and either SDSU /UAB first

I think u have to look at the overall schedule. I believe they played Zona and Purdue pretty close to name a few in out of conference. Unfortunately the teams that Auburn played didn’t fare as well outside of maybe App State

Basically the SEC tournament is for teams on the bubble. Just to stick it to the committee it would almost be worth it to let a UGA or Mizzou win so they can get the AQ lol

It actually made the team better and still performed at a high level without Chuma. Just couldn’t overcome the refs

CBP more than likely doesn’t care . He is on record saying they need 9 wins. They already have 3. Until the games are played it might not be as brutal. Right now the focus is going 1-0

At minimum since 2019 wherever u are before the SEC tournament it’s where u are on selection Sunday. Auburns first round exits didn’t have any affect on seedings
