  2. I thought the ESPN stream on Saturday looked like the old Raytheon Sports footage of games from back in the day. The grass and all the field colors looked washed out.
  3. I agree on the wear-down factor. Having the ability to rotate players keeps us strong to the end. Bama excels at depth of rotation to maintain pressure and wear-down. Thinner teams becomes noticeable as the grind continues.
  4. I appreciate the stories and memories. I never wish away time because it goes by so fast on it's own. I graduated from AU over 20 years ago and recently went back to AU for graduate school. So much has changed, even in 20 years. Stories I share about the 90s is considered "classic" which can be both shocking and amusing. One grad student peer stated "medieval" when I told him at that time, men's on-campus graduate housing was limited and it was even harder to find one with air conditioning. The look of horror on their face. "What do you mean no A/C?" Change at AU and everywhere happens so quickly, I have no doubt AU graduates from two years ago will be viewed as "classic" and maybe even "medieval". Thank you all for sharing your journey. The emotional attachment is what makes them memorable to me.
  5. Thank you RIR for sharing your day. I can feel the vibes through the pictures.
  6. A little rough at the beginning of the 2nd half but I am glad he was able to reset the players and coaches. Maybe it knocked the sleep fog and/or hangover off and provided some clarity.
  7. I am sure it's just my perspective but he can definitely go from a neutral look to a really pissed off, lower jaw extended, snarl.
  8. Harsin has a look that would make me do and abrupt 180 and say "nope"!
  9. Seeing the players sit under the canopy. I remember going to early September games as a student AND it was so hot on those aluminum bleachers. Pretty much being cooked all 4 quarters.
  10. I am realizing I hold my breath when Bo lingers with the ball. I need to do better with breathing.
  11. I appreciate that Tank's play was labeled "Velveeta's smoothest play".
  12. We are definitely playing down to their level or they are playing up to ours. Not a pretty look.
  13. I agree, it's not the physical aspect but seems to be more mental in regards to attitude and discipline vs. last week's game. AU's ebb and flow in gameplay. I would of guessed ASU game came before Akron.
  14. I agree, a strong 2nd half can erase short term memories of an ugly 1st.
  15. Tough to watch and a lot of things we can't do against a good team. It will be interesting to see if we can come out as a second half team and clean ourselves up.
  16. Love it! I am not naming names but I feel like I have witnessed a game where this has happened. Not pretty. Thanks, Hilarious.
  17. Been to the area twice this year with work and the rolling hills and farmland are magazine quality. I swear the farmers ensure their silos, barns, crops, are picture ready at any time. I would imagine the area is amplified when the leaves start to change. Honestly, central PA is a beautiful part of the world and the locals appear to be very friendly and personable. I have always considered myself to have a rather neutral southern accent vs. those with more of a drawl like in Miss, South Carolina, etc. but they seem to pick up quickly on accents. One elderly lady, at a vegetable stand in front of their HUGE farm, told me "southern" is "music to her ears". I got plenty of "say this..." . Truly friendly people.
  18. At times, I have wondered what is the best way to balance your good players in games with easier teams?? I can appreciate wanting to support the player by allowing him to pad some of his stats and also get some reps in to refine gameplay, which benefit's his resume but also the team by rotating players for experience; however, I can also appreciate the other side of the sword where you gamble with a possible injury.
  19. I would imagine a hungry OL can put away some food. I am guessing the small house salad section of the menu will be overlooked. Very cool look for a NIL.
  20. Thank you. I appreciate your feedback on the sights, sounds, vibes, and feel of the day. Brings a lot of us there.
  21. It's hard to keep up with the revolving door of assistants and staff in college football. I am not certain but it might be a rare feat to not only keep a high quality player for 4 years but also keep high quality assistants for the same length. At least it seems that way.
  22. I would imagine there is added pressure having NIL endorsement. There is pressure from coaches, fans, and now individual corporate sponsors. Remembering what my maturity level was at that age and with a fraction of the stressors. Hopefully, they have a good support system and mentors.
  23. The video gave me chills. It strikes the heart.
