  1. You mean like...New Coke? That's what happens when you 'rebrand' a beloved classic.
  2. My thoughts are that Harsin has the personality, and seemingly the coaching chops, to field a really spectacular football team and run a tight program. If we can pull out a winning season, perhaps he and the PTB can come to a mutual understanding on behalf of the football program. You don't have to like someone to have respect for them. Maybe they can ease into that copacetic relationship that Saban is touted to have with Alabama's power people. I'd love him to pull this off, because I'd love to see him stay and build us into a powerhouse of a program. I think he could do it, if given the chance. Wouldn't it be amazing for him to finally establish a situation with the power brokers that puts JABA to rest, and sets us on a different course.
  3. I'm not proposing there are only 2 perspectives...perhaps I should have said all directions. My point still stands that ALL sides participate.
  4. The passive-aggressive 'in your face' snark flows in both directions.
  5. It's possible I'm the only one, but I've never considered this before. There are going to be so many facets to the NIL, it is going to be very interesting to see how it all plays out in real time.
  6. This is what I hope he is wise enough to realize. If he would be humble enough to back off some of his preconceived ideas about how he 'wants' to coach in the SEC, and begin engaging people who have the insight and knowledge to help him get connected and begin to mesh with recruits and coaches, I think Auburn would be a force. But he has to want it bad enough to make concessions and be willing to be coached in the areas he doesn't have all the answers. I hope this fiasco was eye opening for him in all the right ways.
  7. I'm trying to reconcile this coach, who allegedly doesn't foster relationships with his players, with the guy who was sliding around in the mud with the team a month or so ago. And the image of him embracing the player that was shared. I can see players not adjusting to his hard-nose coaching style, but there is evidence that he is caring and likes to have fun with the team at the right moments.
