Georgia has allowed 10 plays of 30-yards or more against 481 plays defended.

Auburn has allowed 11 plays of 30-yards or more against 559 plays defended.

Georgia: 1 every 48.1 plays

Auburn: 1 every 50.8 plays

Georgia: 1 every 97 rushes.

Auburn: 1 every 102 rushes.

Georgia: 1 every 27 pass attempts

Auburn: 1 every 31 pass attempts

No distinct advantage though Auburn has the slightly better numbers.

Thanks StatTiger!!!  The bashers who have been all over the DB's this week will likely choke on those numbers.

I will admit that allowing a big pass play every 31 pass attempts is not good compared to past Auburn defenses but UGA has faced the same problem this season. Certainly UGA will be the best offense Auburn has faced but the same can be said about UGA defending our offense.

I also think it's important to look at the timing of the big plays we surrendered this season.

Against La. Tech, we were up 31-0 when they hit us with the big pass play.

LSU did it, when we trailed 3-6.

Citadel did it when we led 23-0.

We were up 14-0 against LaTech and 31-0 on the 2nd big play.

We were up 24-0 on Arkansas.

We were up 14-0 against Ole Miss and 21-7 on the 2nd one.

Well, I'm glad they haven't had too many big plays so far, but I think if they don't resolve the issue before the Georgia game, there will be a ton and our offense may not be able to overcome the big plays.

So, here's to, Chizik working on those safety's and cornerback's that are having problems covering their man, this week!!!!!

And, hopefully, come Nov. 13th we will see some definite improvement!!!!!!!!

WAR DAMN EAGLE AND BEAT THE DAWGS!!!!!!

I hope we beat them. My sister goes there and a ton of my friends go there, and I'm sick of hearing about how we did last year because I was talking about our team before the season, then they beat us pretty bad up in Athens.
