AUght2win 6,838
UGA chose to defer, meaning we got choice of which endzone to defend. Why would Gus pick to go INTO sun? It cost us the ball being downed at the 2, maybe the field goal, and made it more difficult for our offense, who started with the ball. Before you argue "it'll be better in the 4th quarter", the sun will be down then!!! This man's lack of thought in some areas, and over thought in others, is beyond comprehension. TigerEyez13 46
His thinking may have been that receivers would be looking back so the sun would be behind them. But I agree, it had an effect on the QB play and the field goal attempt.

In a field position game you would of put Georgia's backs to our student section which could benefit our defense. Thus resulting in turnovers, 3 and outs, short fields for our offense. Field goal was broken down by up the middle penetration.

The sun interfering with player vision is an actual problem, the student section advantage has never and will never be proven - because it isn't a thing.
