Unsubstantiated but, I think Anthony Schwartz is coming back next year based off a lot of his tweets.

Talking about uniforms next year, seems happy with the hire, and flat out said he wasn't transferring.

That's huge for us. We couldn't afford for all 3 veterans to leave (Stove and Williams are still tbd).

I hope Schwartz comes back. Dude is flat out fun to watch and is dynamic when given the ball. Just find anyway to feed it to him. Also, does Grant Loy have another year of eligibility? If so, got a feeling he might make a run for starting QB over Nix. Then again, could just be all the Ham I just ate lol.

There's not a world where Bo loses his spot to Grant Loy lmao.

He does have an extra year, as do all players, if he chooses to use it.

Dang we are going to be super thin at running back. I hope we get someone from the transfer portal. I also wish Worm.would reconsider

Me too...we've yet to see him used to his full potential. Can't wait to see him thrive.

IMO, Harsin will have to bring in an OC who is already familiar with his sophisticated, diversified offensive system. This has already been discussed in other threads. I also doubt that he will retain Kodi Burns, a good Auburn man, but all he knows is the dumbed down Gus passing game. I hope he hangs on to Cadillac -- the players trust him and he could remain a good recruiter for us at a thin position. As for QB coach, my understanding is that Harsin has done that over the years, and he's turned out some very effective ones in his league. As for OL coach, that may depend on the OC hire and same for TEs/HBs.

On defense, well-lets put it this way. You've got a few people in one department at your workplace who plot and get their boss fired, expecting the dept head to get promoted. But a new dept head is hired instead. Would you retain any of those who were involved in the plot? Steele is gone. And as much as I dislike saying it, I think RG and TWill are as well. This part of the Auburn rebuild will likely be the hardest for Harsin, because Steele, RG and TWill have dome well (until this year (which might have been a side effect of the plot).

As for players -- well, ya know, if they are ready to try jumping to the NFL, they may do that. But IMO, players are really taking a risk jumping into the portal, especially if Harsin has  a policy of once entered, you are no longer on the team. The portal is bursting at the seams. Approaching 1,000 athletes last I heard. A lot of those kids will have no place to go, because after a full recruiting class plus holdovers of players who gained an extra year, there just won't be that many spots out there.

I will go out on a limb and say no.

Wants to be RB1 and he won't be that here. Plus his main draw was coach Cadillac and I'd be surprised if we keep anyone.

I believe once you’re in the transfer portal you can be contacted by teams.

We will definitely need to do some work via the transfer market for Running Backs.  Two scholarship backs in no bueno.

Also...7, SEVEN, scholarship Tight Ends.  Why was Gus so focused on bringing in all these TEs when he has shown time and time again, he doesn’t know what that position does.

Great summary Zeke.  RB, LB looking pretty thin.  If we can get folks back WR can be a strength.  I had no idea there were that many QB's.  Davis looks very good on film and of course plays for a heck of a program.  He can throw on the move.  With a staff that gets more out of folks; next year can be a good season.

Hoping Harsin possibly keeps 1-2 from current staff.  Definitely not KS or RG.  If he doesn’t keep anyone will have to hire some experienced guys.  Hopefully know Coordinators very soon.

If MAR and Shivers leave, will have to take deep look in the portal.  Still can’t figure out if NCAA approved one time transfer or if most recent ruling only applied to transfers enrolled at new schools for Winter and Spring sports.

What i never understood is why so many good TEs would sign with Gus.  As you said, he doesn’t know what they do other than block.

Multi tasking lol.

We watched Wonder Woman 1984 and while it was decent it's way too damn long.

I bet we could see Harsin bring some BSU kids with him . They have some talent

Based on his passion for BSU, I would highly doubt CBH would bring kids from that program over to Auburn.  He does not want to see any negative outcome for Boise.

I just don’t understand it.  I hope CBH takes a look at out grouping of TEs and figures out a way to use them or utilize them elsewhere.
