MAGA Man Arrested in D.C. After 5 hour Standoff Where he threatened to Blow up the Capitol With a Bomb if Biden Didn't Come Talk to Him. Family Says He loved Trump; Hated Biden and Vaccines, but was a "Good Country man who had just had enuff"

For the third time in nine months, Washington was brought to a standstill Thursday as the seat of the U.S. government came under the threat of political violence, this time from a man who parked a truck near the Capitol, demanded to speak with President Biden about a range of grievances and threatened to destroy two blocks of the nation’s capital with an explosive device.

Congressional office buildings and nearby homes were evacuated as authorities negotiated with the man, identified by law enforcement as Floyd Ray Roseberry, of North Carolina. Roseberry surrendered to authorities after about five hours and will face criminal charges, U.S. Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger said.

Before he was taken into custody, he delivered a tirade over a Facebook live video — watched by tens of thousands of people — in which he assailed President Biden and other Democrats, called for a revolt against the U.S. government and claimed there were other “patriots” waiting in vehicles elsewhere in D.C.

...

“The revolution is on, it’s here, it’s today,” he said in his livestream. “America needs a voice. I’ll give it to them.”

Roseberry voiced disgust with Biden’s Afghanistan policy and called on Democratic senators to step down, saying they were "killing America.” He demanded to speak with the president.

“I’m here for a reason, Joe Biden. I’m here for the American people. And if you want to take me out, take me out. But when the patriots come, your a-- is in trouble,” Roseberry says in the video. "So if you blow my truck up man, it’s on you, Joe. I’m ready to die for the cause.”

...

Authorities had disclosed little information about Roseberry on Thursday afternoon.

Roseberry spoke with his son and his son’s fiancé on Wednesday and did not mention his plans to head to the U.S. Capitol and threaten to detonate a bomb, said Courtney Foster, who said she is engaged to Roseberry’s son and considers Roseberry a father.

Roseberry often talked about politics with his family, Foster said, sharing his dislike for President Biden’s policies, support for former President Trump and skepticism about vaccines.

“We didn’t know that he was going to do any of this. We didn’t know anything” Foster, 20, of Grover, N.C., said in a telephone interview. “He is just a good old farmin’ country man that has just kind of had enough, I guess, and you know, kind of reached his breaking point."

Fox News's Take of the situation is that the man had recently suffered a death in the family and likely suffered from mental health problems and recently changed medications, and was just having a bad day. We all handle grief a little differently. some people withdraw, some get angry or sad, others go to the U.S. Capitol and threaten to blow it up with bombs....

The Fox Article is careful not to mention any of his obvious political motives or his anti-Biden /Democrat ranting. It does mention however that his ex-wife said he voted for Trump in the 2020 election and was "not happy" with the results.

The Comments section from Fox Readers is about what you would expect. Top comments are a mixture of "This man's politics are irrelevant here" and "but what about the BLACKS!?!?!"

Good grief man.  Let Trump go and any that say the voted for him.   Do you actually know how many bomb threats get called in at the White House and Capital?   Or how many threats are received for politicians?   It’s a lot!   Stupid people are just that, stupid people!   It seems that this is the day and age of wanting to blame someone for other people’s actions.   It says a lot about where your mindset is with regards to personal responsibility

Wish we could, man. When Trump stops running for office and his most loyal supporters stop committing acts of domestic terrorism then maybe we can all finally put his sad period of American history behind us.

Read the Washington post article. It quote several different staffers which say the threat situation around DC is as bad as they’ve ever seen it.

My girlfriend, ex law enforcement, would like to remind you that more people have been killed by landscaping than by Trump supporters. They really aren't that dangerous.

This guy loves kid, is a great person etc etc.... well except he knowingly bought his felon boyfriend the gun that killed Officer Ellah French.

This is the guy that it is contributing the the double digit shootings and deaths in Chicago every weekend.

Can we start addressing and taking out all of the trash. I'd like the next time I go get food on 6th street not to have my night interrupted by people randomly shooting 14 people also.

Does your girlfriend also know that lawncare work is statistically a more dangerous and deadly job than being a law enforcement officer?

in 2019

11 : 100,000 fatalities for Police officers

19.8 : 100,000 Fatalities for Grounds Maintenance workers

https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/cfoi.pdf

Does this mean that being a police officer isn't a dangerous job, or do we need to look at all this in context?

No, the MAGA Klan isn't going out and committing mass murders, but they are repeatedly attacking the center of U.S. government and have a lot of mentally unstable members using violent rhetoric when talking about the US government and how they feel the U.S. should 'correct' itself. It also happens that these same mentally ill people are huge 2nd amendment fans and are armed to the teeth.

Just because you don't believe this is an issue that deserves attention until they actually start killing people or blowing up buildings doesn't mean it isn't an issue that others shouldn't take seriously. The CIA/FBI does believe that it deserves attention as they've labeled right wing domestic terrorism one of the biggest threats to the U.S. at this time.

Yes, in the real world we get our news and information from legitimate news sources and not Infowars, Breitbart, or random youtube videos.

OK GUYS, I GOT THE MEMES: I put it in quote form so you can minimize if you don't like:

Context: This is pictures of the Crazy "MAGA bomber" from yesterday. Maybe Thought he was parked by the Capitol when he was actually parked by the Library of Congress.

Oh she loves that argument. Known it for years and heard so many times. Especially with her dad, uncle, and little brother owning a landscape business.

Yes statistically per capita it works. And the deaths are usually transportation related, poor safety awareness (use your equipment right.. self inflicted), and health (good ole cardio vascular). With the exception  some auto accidents we are talking about death by inanimate objects and human ignorance or error. No emotion.

https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/docs/2008-144/pdfs/2008-144.pdf?id=10.26616/NIOSHPUB2008144

But then when you want to talk to about Trump supporters it leaves being purely statistical and involves politics, emotions, mental health. Lebron James pulled the same bull**** with officers:

Quote

"You have no idea how that cop that day left the house," James said. "You don't know if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed, you don't know if he had an argument at home with his significant other, you don't know if one of his kids said something to him and he left the house steaming. Or maybe he just left the house saying that, 'Today is going to be the end for one of these Black people.' That's what it feels like. That's what it feels like. It just hurts. It hurts."

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29735483/lebron-james-says-black-community-terrified-result-police-conduct

Officers face that same kind of stuff when they approach individuals, and that is a major part of the danger of their profession.

You want to work it statistically then work it statistically across the board. Wanna toss in the intangibles then do it across the board. But don't do that oh she is a Hispanic female and you know those Maga attitudes and she is in real danger from terrorist. Then when she put on her uniform and pulled over/answered suspicious calls and had to approach individuals in high crime areas go oh no big deal, she's safer than a guy mowing a lawn.

Your probably one of those oh hey you're brown and female and your being oppressed I support you, oh wait your in blue? you know you never gonna be white people.

I begin to believe that you really might need some help...

What you mean? The political landscape of the entire nation can be fully downloaded by spending a few minutes with his girlfriend on 6th street in Austin.

It would admittedly be nice if we could get some leaders in that aren't almost all 75+ years old. Trump(75), Biden(78), Pelosi(81), Schumer(70), McConnell(79). I mean geez

Kevin McCarthy is a young spring chicken at 56
