Apparently, the NCAA clearinghouse screwed up, but could Auburn and other universities get the shaft for their mishaps?

This has already been hashed and rehashed. There is no smoke. There is no fire. There is nothing to see here. Move along.

I can hear the UATers making a big deal out of this already.... how now we are guilty of the same thing as they are... blah blah blah...

Any excuse will do to divert attention from their current situation.

There is a strong bama connection to this article, anyway. It's nothing. Move on.

Its no big deal. The less posted about this the better. Lets move on to something positive like how do you think the team will do next year and what would you recommend to make it even better?

Wait, please don't speak for us. Why would we say anything? The article says these players were cleared by the NCAA to play, and they are the ones that would charge any infractions. So why would Bama or any other school have anything to say against Auburn about this?

Dear Bammer,

Why would we speak for you? We wouldn't really, but we would remind everyone here that one of the longstanding traditions of the Bammers is to do anything possible to put Auburn and our athletic programs in a negative light.

That tradition goes back at least to the 1950's when two Bammer assistant coaches posed as encyclopedia salesmen to gain access to an Auburn player's apartment and attempt to dig up dirt on the Auburn program. It continued through the 80's with the Eric Ramsay affair, set up by Bammer affiliated attorneys in Birmingham.

The current article is right in character with the dirty tricks that are part of the Bammer tradition, so why wouldn't we suspect that Bammer is involved?

If you really want to see what lengths some schools will go to in order to pump up the players' grades, just take a look at the following article.

The ultimate grades and recruiting scandal

BMH, you are probably the exception to the rule. Those usual suspects will jump on this with both feet. ;)
