This is the Birmingham News Preseason picks.

Peanut Whitehead didn't play as a junior, so I'm assuming that is why they didn't have him listed.

Have you noticed how quiet the Bammer media has been since signing day? Last year, they crowed for a couple of weeks about how Bammer had "won" the recruiting war. I still believe that we don't know for four years who actually wins the recruiting war, but the same folks who were proclaiming Bammer's victory last year sure are quiet now. They just can't seem to bring themselves to say anything good about Auburn. As the state becomes more and more orange and blue, the media becomes more and more out of touch.

They all had to change the subject quickly to one of their favorite sons...Shaun Alexander. Now that the XL Super Bowl is over, they will have to cry about how Auburn "deceived" their recruits by withholding the Gibbs thing until after signing day. You know, anything to spin away from the actual truth. Very Clintonian if you ask me...
