I obtained the rankings based on the above numbers. I compared the career numbers of the 13 backs on each list. The rankings are based on yards per game, average per carry and average TD per rush attempt.

Example...

I took Kenny Irons top 4 games of his career and compared his numbers to the other 12 backs on the list. In terms of his top 4 games compared to the other 12 backs, Kenny finished 7th in average per carry, 8th in yards per game and 11th in TD's per rush attempt. So in terms of his top 4 games of his career, he had an average ranking of 8.7 compared to the other 12 Auburn running backs. Because the 13 backs on the list did not play the same number of games, I based my rankings on averages.

The stats that are based only on the top 11 games should be expected to penalize guys like Rudi and KIrons, who only had a sample of 12 games to cull data from. Another potential 14 games this fall, and I think you will see that 11-game average go up for sure, and hopefully that 4-game average as well.

If they are considering any sort of hype for him to get an indivdual award, they should probably do some sort of word play with the whole iron thing. Maybe give him a nickname like Fe-nom or somesuch. Probably lame chemistry joke there, but it sounds better than "paper bag head" or whatever it was that his brother called him.

National Title game is your bowl game...

There is NOT a plus one system. Just 5 BCS bowls...the 4 traditional ones, and then the national championship game that is just called that. It will be at the site of one of the 4 bowls.
