abrnfanatc 6
Hopefully that trend will continue...Just off the top of my head I can think of 4 possible top 10 matchups this year. If they can take care of business in the games they should win and get 3 of those 4 I am thinking of, Atlanta is looking like a great possibility. The trend is clearly looking better!

tgr4lfe 220
so I take it Barfield was not a good coach?? Before my time, I moved to the state in 1981 as a first grader. Never have known much about him. He was coach right before Pat Dye, correct? how long?
abrnfanatc 6
He was a pretty good coach when he was at Opelika HS. He coached the 1976-1980 seasons and had a combined record of 29-25-1. Just to solidify the Iron Bowl meaning arguement from both sides, he never even came closer than 7 points to Bammer.
AUslug 1
What was Barfield's biggest problem other than not beating Bama? I've looked at his seasons and they could score points but it looked like the defense was pretty lacking at times.
