Just curious to see what everyone's thoughts are on an "early signing period" for football. Seems like recruiting season gets earlier and earlier every year.

This should probably be in the recruiting forum, but given that it is off season, what the heck

The part about guys decommitting from their high school is analogous to guys leaving college early for the NFL.

This is a runaway freight train that no one knows how to control.

The Bama folks are already accusing them of cheating by signing their Heisman winning high school Kid. Everybody knows that the Crimson Tide sign two to three Heisman Trophy winners every year. Heck, some are locks to win it 2-3 times while at Bama. Just ask Tyler Watts. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Doesn't Texas have like their entire 2007 class already committed?

Ya pretty much, and its not uncommon for them. Lot of players in Texas and most stay in state, so they go ahead and commit to get their spot.
