StatTiger 3,188 Posted June 4, 2006 Share Posted June 4, 2006 Here is Auburn's TD ratio since 1971 against D1 opponents with a winning record: Top Ten Offense: Avg- Year 18.7- 1994 19.1- 1995 20.2- 1979 20.5- 1986 21.6- 1971 21.8- 1985 22.6- 2002 23.0- 1997 23.2- 2005 23.5- 1983 The 1994 offense averaged 1 offensive TD every 18.7 plays against opponents with a winning record. The 2004 offense was 11th on the list over the past 35 seasons, scoring a TD every 23.6 plays.. Top Ten Defense: Avg- Year 52.3- 1988 50.1- 1986 49.4- 1987 38.1- 1989 37.3- 2004 36.1- 1992 34.8- 1974 34.5- 1982 34.4- 1978 34.0- 1971 The 1988 defense allowed a TD every 52.3 plays against opponents with winning records.
