OPELIKA, Ala. -

Approximately 25 Auburn football players attended a celebration at Storybook Farm on Saturday in what has become an annual event for the student-athletes.

"This place is great for the kids," junior quarterback Brandon Cox said. "This gives us a chance to give back to the community and have a little fun."

The day was filled with games and players and staff had the opportunity to visit with the children while also learning about caring for the animals at the farm. This outing marked the fourth consecutive year that the Tigers have visited Storybook Farm.

"It means so much for our kids to be one-on-one with these players who they look up to," said founder and CEO Dena Dougherty. "It's a chance for our kids to be in the spotlight, and I know they really enjoy it."

Head coach Tommy Tuberville was on hand to enjoy the fun while posing for pictures and signing autographs for the kids.

"Our players love working with children," Tuberville said. "These kids don't have some of the same opportunities our players have, so it's a great chance for them to give back."
