My 2 cents is that for pure gametime atmosphere, opening the student section 3 hours early is not good. It is hard to maintain the "up" for 3 hours when nothing is going on for the first hour.

They need to think out of the box and do something that makes sense AND preserves the intimidating atmosphere that we need.

As superstitious as AU fans are, I am surprised that no one other than me has mentioned the "messing with the mojo" that this last-minute decision seems to be.

For what it's worth, I went to the 1995 game at - i.e., "The Whistle Game" ( version) / "The Magic is Back" ( version). Don't know exactly when they opened the ( ) student section, but when I entered about two hours prior to kickoff, it (the student section) was already jam-packed. Nonetheless, the corndogs were as loud as ever . . .

Well, I hope that is true. However, we are pretty superstitious about messing with stuff around here. Maybe this will be a new great thing. Who knows?
