JohnDeere 0
Link QB carousel Some SEC teams have made a habit of shuffling signal callers this season Quick quiz: Name the 12 starting quarterbacks in the SEC. Eight have started all their team's games, but the remaining four might be harder to come up with. Don't be ashamed if you can't do it. The way this season has gone, it's almost a trick question. Keeping track of who's playing quarterback for Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and to a lesser extent Arkansas, hasn't been easy. It seems that game to game, even quarter to quarter, you never know who is lining up under center. For some teams, like Mississippi State, injuries have caused the quarterback carousel. For others, like Georgia, a true No. 1 starter has yet to emerge. In second-ranked Florida's case, Chris Leak is the clear starter and highly touted freshman Tim Tebow, a very effective runner, is inserted at certain points for strategic reasons. Leak, who is an SEC-best 28-11 as a starter has already thrown for nearly 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns. Tebow has thrown for 152 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 225 yards and three scores. In all, the 12 SEC teams have on their rosters a combined 22 players that have made at least one start in their careers. The number was 23 until Tuesday when Marc Guillon, backup to Alabama sophomore starter John Parker Wilson, quit the team because of a lack of playing time. Through six weeks this season, 23 different quarterbacks have thrown at least 12 passes.
