A TRIUMPH FOR FORCES OF APPEASEMENT AND DENIAL

John Bolton's resignation as UN ambassador has been accepted by President Bush.

Yet another triumph for the forces of appeasement and denial.

Bolton's critics called him "too combative for international diplomacy", but the reality is that international diplomacy has been catastrophically compromised by the endless platitudes and toadying of the international left. The Democratic Party wing of the left could not possibly let a man like Bolton be UN ambassador--he exists in the real world; a place they haven't visited in quite a while.

When the big bad comes at us again and we wonder how this could happen, don't even think of blaming Bush. It'll all lay directly on the head of the Democrats. Every single bit of it.

And they are coming, they have big plans.

Bolton is the one man who had such a level of integrity it not only could not only survive the pit of the UN, it actually could have forced it into changing. He was the one daily reminder to those freaks that decency and integrity do exist.

Make no mistake--this is not a casualty of the new Dem majority, the loss of Bolton is due to the incompetence and cowardice of the previous Republican majority. And they wonder why they got fired.

The president will be meeting/"appear" with Bolton at the White House later today. How pathetic of President Bush that he did not command enough respect from his own majority to win this appointment. After all, what good is having the majority if you ask nothing of them, and then when you do, they balk?

I'm thrilled Republicanism is dead. Now let us usher in a new day is renewed Authentic Conservatism, a return of Reaganism.

In the meantime, UN Food-for-Sex crimes continue, as that entity, which resented Bolton's attempts to impose some sort of discipline on the organization, continues to be the official International Child Rapists of the World.

A Republican killed this nomination:

With leaders from both parties promising a new bipartisan Washington, Bush began efforts to get two of his most controversial decisions approved before the Democrats take over.

Along with Bolton's nomination, Bush said he would like to move forward on legislation to retroactively authorize the National Security Agency's domestic surveillance program.

Bush said he would like to see action on both issues before year's end. The Democratic-controlled Congress begins its term in January.

But Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee, who was defeated in this week's election, said he would block Bolton's nomination.

Chafee, a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, told reporters that he did not believe Bolton's nomination would move forward without his support.

Sorry to point out, you know, facts.

That's right Tex if 50 vote against it, then you can claim that the 51st was the ONE that killed it. Yeah the other 50 had absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH IT AT ALL, yep nothing whatsoever to do with it.

It must so cool to live in your world where facts and real thought never enter into any discussion. Sorry to point out, you know, facts. ;)

Bolton once said that you could take ten floors out of the UN and nobody would notice. He is and was right. The UN sat on their collective fat, stupid, corrupt, racist asses while 800K were slaughtered in Rwanda and they did bumpkis. Clinton didnt do even bumpkis. At least the UN scheduled a bunch of useless meetings that dragged on forever and did absolutely nothing. But hey it was just a bunch of n*****s to Clinton and the UN and the American Democratic Party anyway. Afterall, in their world view, who cares about a bunch of n*****s anyway? Well, Mr Bolton did. He cared enough to try and get the UN to actually DO SOMETHING to stop the corruption of the Oil for Food Scandal, Rwanda, and now Darfur. As usual the UN and the American Left tried their dead level best to stop any talk of the UN taking any action or responsibility for anything they do or say.

All that it takes for evil to win is for good men to do nothing. God knows that the one thing the UN excels at is doing nothing.

I noticed you didn't attempt to refute anything that DKW posted.

My original post was actually in reply to you:
