The only chance of getting Iran to back down is if the US (and Europe too) was speaking as one strong voice. The Democrats are either downright stupid, or they really want Bush to not strike and Iran to nuke someone. We cannot do it divided either, that's the point of the original post. So, how in the world are the other countries of the world going to stand with us when the Democrats only motivation is to oppose Bush? If there is any arrogance being displayed, it is the appeasing Democrats who refuse to learn the lessons of history...
