DKW 86 7,441
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/030...Invitation.html You can read the article yourself. The real fun is about this: 1) With so few listeners and even fewer viewers, why bother other than to make the point that Republicans arent as scared of free debate as the Dems? 2) What hall, anywhere in America is going to take this bunch seriously? Who in the name of hell would take a check from Air America? Seriously, is there anyone stupid enough to do that? Air America doesn't have a large enough viewer base - the Republicans should reject on that fact alone. But to compare Fox news with Air America? Apples and Oranges people. Posted By: Phil | March 13, 2007 at 02:51 PM REPORT ABUSE If a debate was held on Air America, nobody would hear it....what's the point? Posted By: anon | March 13, 2007 at 02:51 PM REPORT ABUSE Don't take a check from Air America-get cash. Posted By: Johnny O | March 13, 2007 at 02:49 PM REPORT ABUSE I too think the GOP should take them up on the offer. Unlike the Democrats the GOP has a firm platform and ethical center. I do believe the GOP?s comments will fall on deaf ears. There is nothing more close-minded as a liberal. Posted By: EvBes | March 13, 2007 at 02:47 PM REPORT ABUSE I tried listening to Air America, the shrill gave me a head ache! It?s just not good radio guys! Come on, forget the fact that it is a Bush bashing session, it is poorly done and no one listens to it. 2 million, and Rush gets 20 million a day? Do ya see the difference here? America does not want to become a socialist state! Give them a pass GOP - it would be like holding a debate in Argentina! Posted By: Brian | March 13, 2007 at 02:46 PM REPORT ABUSE they can use the boy and girls club if they cannot afford rent. Is there one that big anywhere? Posted By: ScooterBooter | March 13, 2007 at 02:45 PM REPORT ABUSE Who will watch Air America? Posted By: goldbert | March 13, 2007 at 02:41 PM REPORT ABUSE I'd make sure their check for the hall rental cleared first
CCTAU 3,350
They are not really a news channel. More like an opinion channel. So when you think of legitimate news, they do not come to mind. Not like ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, NBC. So for them to offer is worse than if CMT offered to host it. I hope that didn't offend CMT to be even remotely grouped with hotAiramerica. Cable news outlets have tiny audiences, even Fox News. Two million is a good night: http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/rating..._2005_42895.asp By comparison, Rush Limbaugh swamps Air America. He has about 13 million listeners, last I heard. Air America claims to have about 2 million-- small by radio standards. I never listen, so I'm not a fan, but the point is, why shouldn't the Republicans allow them to co-sponsor a debate?

drewau02 0
Air America Radio is a relevant news outlet that should be taken seriously. After all, their ratings are astronomical. Regards, Rita Cosby, Keith Olbermann, Phil Donahue.

That is a great idea? Have Rush run the debate. I bet he would even offer to do it for the dims too. He could ask the questions and we could get some answers. I mean, it seems, according to you, that he is more legit than Fox or hotAiramerica.
