Tigermike 3,055
Barry to Elisabeth: Your "View" is DangerousPosted Sep 17th 2007 1:16PM by TMZ Staff UPDATE: A source tells TMZ that it's not Barry who's writing this song -- in fact, "View" producers pulled the plug on Manilow's performance when his people demanded that he appear on the show without Elisabeth. Manilow has in fact performed on the show twice before -- both last year -- when Hasselbeck's been co-hosting. TMZ has learned that legendary singer Barry Manilow has pulled out of his scheduled appearance on "The View" tomorrow -- because he strongly disagrees with host Elisabeth Hasselbeck's conservative view! Paging Rosie O'Donnell! In an exclusive statement to TMZ, Barry says, "I strongly disagree with her views. I think she's dangerous and offensive. I will not be on the same stage as her." Barry, taking a stand! Manilow is currently on a press tour promoting the release of his new album, "Greatest Songs of the Seventies." A network spokesman had no comment. http://www.tmz.com/2007/09/17/barry-to-eli...w-is-dangerous/ After an SRO performance at Orfordville's Outdoor Theater/Flea Market last week Barry Manilow spiked his piano. During the performance, Barry explained that he could not, in good conscience, appear on the TV show The View because of a philosophical clash with the conservative ogre, Elizabeth Hasselbeck. "I strongly disagree with her views. I think she's dangerous and offensive. I will not be on the same stage as her."1 In a fit of outrage and performance theatrics Manilow ended his performance by lifting his piano over his head and smashing it on the ground offstage hitting one roady on the head and nearly killing two others. All three of the audience members stood up, leaned on their walkers, and applauded shouting, "Wilson lied and doughboys died!" (Rumor also has it that there is more than one Barry that has been using steroids.) http://grandpajohn.blogspot.com/2007/09/ba...mill-in-my.html
