AUSportTalk 4
Hunter Morris was named a Collegiate Baseball Second Team All-American on Thursday, the publication announced. The Southeastern Conference Player of the Year and a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award and the Dick Howser Trophy, Morris has helped lead Auburn to a No. 1 seed in this weekend’s NCAA Auburn Regional. Morris, from Huntsville, Ala., goes into the NCAA Tournament leading the SEC in slugging percentage (.752), hits (98), RBI (70), home runs (21) and total bases (188), is third in batting average (.392) and triples (five) and fourth in doubles (17). Morris was one of three SEC players to be named an All-American by the publication, joining First Team pitcher Drew Pomeranz (Ole Miss) and Third Team pitcher Blake Cooper (South Carolina). Mikey 16,612
If Morris is second team, I don't know what the devil it would take to be first team! Glad he got some recognition, but he's short changed with a second team spot.

AUFightingSoldiers 685
Congrats Hunter. How is the best player in the SEC (probably the deepest conference) not a first team All-American?
