When will John Kerry stop running his campaign on his being a war hero?

When will John Kerry start focusing on his 20 year senate record?

Don't say he is only responding to the lies of the Swift Boat Vets, because he has based his whole campaign on his "hero" status. Him being a hero is the center piece of his campaign and I think he and the Democrat strategist likes the turmoil surrounding his time in Vietnam. Because it overshadows his extremely liberal, unremarkable 20 year stint as a Senator.

Many might be surprised to learn that John Kerry has the most liberal credentials of any of the seven Democratic dwarves who were in the Democrat primaries. His voting record is considerably to the left of such well-known comparative centrists as Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH). According to the congressional rating system published by the Americans for Democratic Action, which is the most widely used barometer of the left in measuring the degree to which members of Congress tow the liberal line, Kerry’s voting record is significantly to the left of even ultra-liberal icon, Senator Ted Kennedy who is not uncoincidentally one of Kerry’s most ardent cheerleaders on the campaign trail. In short, Kerry is little more than a liberal Massachusetts Michael Dukakis clone. In fact, he actually served as Dukakis’ Lieutenant Governor back in the early 1980s. The main difference in John Kerry and Michael Dukakis is that Dukakis is honest. Dukakis was honest enough to embrace his liberal base and actually run as a liberal. John Kerry on the other hand has been disingenuously making a move to the center. Does making a few token statements that make him appear a centrist truly make him a centrist? Or would his twenty year lifelong liberal leanings be more indicative of what he really is and how he would attempt to govern if elected President? Kerry has been called a liar and flip-flopper by many, wouldn't his trying to appear as a centrist be more evidence of his being a serial liar and flip-flopper?

According to the January 26th edition of the Washington Times, Kerry has voted against virtually every major defense program ever proposed during his 20-year tenure in the US Senate. Yet he wants to be Commander in Chief.

So let's just forget for a while about Vietnam and the controversy still surrounding that far away hell hole. Let's take a look at John Kerry's 20 year senate record.

being a hero is the center piece of his campaign...

Some will deny this, but when you salute and say "reporting for duty" at the DNC, that pretty much sums it up.

See, what the Dems seem to want is for Kerry to be able to trot out any and all reasons to vote for Kerry from being a Vietnam vet to his Senate experience, but to then question or scrutinize anything regarding his service to either is verboten. It's called having one's cake and eating it too and I guess their mommies didn't give them the "tough noogies" speech where most people find out that only happens in their dreams.
