  1. Ellis strikes out. Blaine flies to center to end the top 2nd. 4-0 Auburn
  2. McCondicie hits back to pitcher off the pitchers glove and safe at first. Another run scores. 4-0 Auburn. Runners I believe on 2nd and 3rd
  3. Peralta singles down the line to right. Widra scores. 3-0 Tigers
  4. Tresvik grounds to 2nd, throw comes home and no chance. McCrary scores. 2-0. Peralta up with runners on 1st and 2nd (I think)
  5. I don't mind doing occasional updates but may miss some with other things going on.
  6. Widra singles to left. Garcia scores. 1st and 2nd one out. 1-0 Auburn
  7. OK. Who wants to tell the announcer there is no mound in softball? 🤣
  8. This game will be hard to listen to with this announcer. He has the same inflection in his voice at the end of every sentence. Again, I ask, Where do they find these people to put on a microphone? Penta strikes out all 3 in the bottom of the 1st.
  9. These announcers are terrible. Wonder where they find these people.
  10. Got the app on my ipad here and there is no video feed at all that I can get to come up. Video feed works through a web browser. Nice to have 2 displays at work.
  11. KK Downing from Judas Priest back with KK's Priest. Tim "Ripper" Owens on vocals. This album SERMONS OF THE SINNER is terrific from start to finish.
  12. We're in the 2nd year of a new coach. We have a one of our best players out with an injury and another that just got back in the lineup after an injury. If we make a change after this season it will just put us further and further behind. Unfortunately this rebuild is going to take some time. Flournoy really screwed up this program bad. We just need to have some patience and let Harris build up the roster.
  13. I was yelling this at the tv last night. Not only did Flanigan not move even an inch, he was throwing it directly under the basket. On a designated spot throw in, the official will never give a player the ball under the basket. It's always on either side of the basket. Also, when a player can run the baseline, you can also have another player step out of bounds on the baseline and make a pass across the baseline to a different player to throw it in. b. In Rule 7-4-6.a.1-4, any player of the throw-in team may make a direct throw-in or may pass the ball along the end line to a teammate(s) who is also out of bounds.
  14. Not accurate. Rule 9-3-4d and E d. Defensive players may not use hand and arms to tackle, hold or otherwise illegally obstruct an opponent other than a runner. e. Densive players may ward off or legally block an eligible pass receiver until that player occupies the same yard line as the defender or until the opponent could not possibly block him. Continuous contact is illegal (A.R. 9-3-5-I) PENALTY: [c-e]- 10 or 15 yards.
  15. Hey. that depends on what's in the fridge, we do have standards after all. Also not wasting a fart on the couch. I want everyone to get the experience.
  16. Actually Bowers did in fact run the point for multiple games. My memory on all that has faded, but I believe we had a guard or two injured (shamsid-Dean for one) and Canty was either suspended or had left the program. I do remember Bowers had to run point for several games beacuase, Pearl had no other options at the time. It might have been to give another PG some rest since we were short handed.
  17. I agree with gabo4au, I would much rather go back the way it was BEFORE the BCS and let the polls do it, than to have a 12 team playoff. I do not like the playoff at all, but if they insist on doing it, it should be no more than 4 teams.
  18. somehow I missed this one. Answer to your question: Absolutely NOT. Defender can't prevent the offensive player from running his route. Even though it's not defensive pass interference (since the ball hasn't been thrown) its still not legal and would likely be a personal foul.
  19. same discussion in other thread. https://www.aufamily.com/forums/topic/184801-ole-miss-pay-sites-saying-kiffin-signed-contract-with-auburn/
  20. Read my reference again. It only applies to kicks directly off the Tee or kicks driven immediately into the ground with the single hop. A few years ago the National Federation (governs high school rules) actually put a rule in place that makes those kicks (National Federation refers to them as POP UP KICKS) illegal. If a team does that, we are flagging it and killing the play and it's a 5 yard penalty for an illegal kick.
  21. The potential roughing/running into the kicker (based on the angle we saw on replay) should have been called one or the other. However, we did only see one replay and the angle of the replay wasn't great. We couldn't see everything that happened there. A different view would have been beneficial to establishing a case for one or the other. The DPI in the OT was awful. The pass on 4th down was extremely close and we are all seeing it through the Auburn lense, but to me it was pretty clear it hit the ground. Another penalty that was called that hasn't been mentioned here was the Blind Side block w/targeting on our Offensive lineman. Well, after replay review they removed the targeting, but that was in no way, shape or form a blind side block. If you watch the Mississippi State player he lowers his head and shoulders just before contact, meaning he saw the guy coming. Out of all of those the blind side block call was the one that angered me the most. As an official we have to see something, process what we saw and make a decision to flag it or not. It happens quickly for sure but the only one debatable was the pass on 4th down. The others were clearly missed (well, the angle of the hit on Carlson didn't tell the entire story).
  22. Call was spot on. Thanks for posting the play. I found the rule reference on it. I knew it was put in several years ago. During a free kick a player of the receiving team in position to receive the ball has the same kick-catch and fair-catch protection whether the ball is kicked directly off the tee or is immediately driven to the ground, strikes the ground once and goes into the air in the manner of the ball kicked directly off the tee.
