  1. Great win on the road tonight. We sure lit it up in the 2nd half.
  2. Clean up done. We DO NOT do rumors here. Unless you can provide a link as proof, DO NOT post it.
  3. That's only your opinion and it isn't relevant to mine.
  4. What details have we learned? Certainly nothing in this thread. Both sides of the equation could have handled it better. That's what we've learned. That said, Never was a fan of Flanigan as a player. Athletic as hell just not that good except as a turnover machine. Of course this is after his injury too, so there is that. Hope we blow them out of the gym.
  5. definitely not. I'm no fan of either of those and will never want them to win out of conference in anything, but don't have the strong feelings toward them like I do the other 3. Those 3 are just the absolute worst of the worst for me. Also, I live in Florida.
  6. First felony state gets probation, then the elf retires at uat and the mass player exodus still continues, now florida getting investigated. holy crap that's the best HAT TRICK ever. The three programs I HATE the most all experiencing turmoil. I love it.
  7. I think his comment on the playing field being level is that the NIL legalized paying players so it takes away the advantage of the uat mafia known as the REC.
  8. Really? You do realize we've won 8 straight by double digits right? Closest being the A&M game Tuesday. Seems to me we're finishing teams off pretty well. Granted A&M was closer down the stretch than the final score indicates, but its still a double digit win.
  9. I find it odd that we are just over a month from the season starting and our schedule only has 28 games on it and only one weekend out of conference before SEC play starts. I wonder if Auburntigers.com just hasn't put it online yet. We typically are around 50+/- games. No midweek games are listed there yet. I would think this close to the season the full schedule would be available.
  10. He has 9 turnovers in 216 minutes of play. He is tied with 2 other players with the 2nd fewest turnovers on the team of all players that have over 200 minutes of action. Only Chad Baker-Mazara has fewer turnovers of the players with over 200 minutes (7)
  11. Announcers were awful. Why does the SEC Network and ESPN think they need to put people in a box for us to hear them talk. I don't tune in for that crap. I want to see the game FULL SCREEN all the time. I'm sure a vast majority of the fans watching felt the same way.
  12. ME TOO. I couldn't stand seeing him do that stupid handicapping crap on game day. Complete waste of time and has no place on gameday. They replaced him with someone else, but the segments are still completely pointless. They spout statistics that would take too long to validate, and they aren't any better at picking the winners on those games than anybody else. That Bear idiot (whatever his name is) was at or below .500 seemingly every year. The only difference between him and anybody else is he was getting paid for his opinions. That's it. You could have equal or better results using a dart board. They don't need to use any airtime at any timeslot for that. Let him put an article up on espn's site somewhere and be done with it. Desmond Howard is horrible to watch. He cackles at stuff that isn't even remotely funny. He cackles just to cackle. Put those things together and add McAfee to the mix and the entire show is just unwatchable.
  13. Even if it was (which everybody can decide on their own), given the officials coverage area and duties, its likely nobody on the field saw it. The backjudge couldn't see it because our player was between him the WR. The deep wing couldn't see it or see if there was actually contact on the push off because of his position on the corner of the endone. There were several calls or non-calls that went against us in that game, but there were several calls/non-calls that went in our favor as well. Slowing this down to frame by frame is pointless. No official has the luxury of watching a play unfold that slowly. It's unfair to form an opinion one way or another based on a frame by frame replay. Obviously I wish it had been called, but I also wish the blatant facemask had been called.
  14. So, I'm constantly validated that even head coaches or former head coaches do NOT know the rules. The play that just happened in our game vs. new Mexico State, where they handed it off and did an end around and the ball carrier was chased out of bounds for a loss of 10 yards. However, Derek Mason and former Division 1 HEAD COACH in the SEC says, the QB has to have awareness and throw that ball to the line of scrimmage and out of bounds to avoid the loss yardage. Problem here Derek Mason. He couldn't LEGALLY do that in that situation. The QB gave up possession of the ball during the down. Once that happens, NOBODY can legally throw the ball away to avoid loss yardage, even if he gets it back he CANNOT legally throw that ball away. If he throws it away there, its an penalty for Intentional Grounding which would carry a loss of down at the spot of the foul. How in the world doesn't a former Division 1 HEAD COACH know that?
  15. Vern retired. He's gone.
  16. The rules haven't changed at all. It just seems to be an after thought on enforcing that. Watch games and see how many players have a mouth piece and aren't actually wearing it during play. Unless its enforced like it should be, its going to continue.
  17. IMO, It's way premature to make these type of judgements after ONE game. It was a winnable game for us and we came up short. It happens to literally every team in the country at some point. This team is entirely different, and its unfair to rush to judgement and form a conclusion based on ONE game. At least let this team form an identity first and that doesn't happen with one game.
  18. no idea what the numbers were per half, but for the game we were dead even on offensive rebounds and defensive rebounds
  19. It wasn't a chop block. It was a block below the waist.
  20. It's rarely ever the best course of action. In this case, the official on the goal line HAD to make that call and he froze. As I mentioned above, he appears to have an unobstructed view of that play and should have been able to immediately make the call and sell it emphatically to show there was no doubt he was right. Not signaling at all and then making a ruling only to reverse it after another conference is a VERY BAD LOOK. There are situations where we have to get together some times because each official has different responsibilities. An example of that would be a catch in the endzone close to the sideline or endline. One official makes sure he's in bounds the other makes sure he has possession. Those 2 may come together and one may say, "Hey I have a catch if you saw his feet down", "Or he might come in and say, "He never had control, it's going to be imcomplete".
  21. Based on that video I would rule that INCOMPLETE every time. It doesn't look to me like he ever had control of the ball and the official on the goal line had an unobstructed view of the play. He's on the goal line where he should be and he punches back the backward pass which he should have done, and in my opinion he had the best view of that and he was closest to it. He was clearly unsure because there was never a signal one way or the other, which is a really bad look. Ultimately the white on the crew will make the final ruling when there's a situation like this but I will say them getting together after the initial ruling and changing the call is a really bad look.
  22. If you can provide me a video of the play, I would love to see it. If no video break the play down for me and tell me what happened
  23. If they would ever shut up they would have heard the white hats explanation and known it was a safety. Good clue to know what is going on is to shut up when the white hat starts talking on the mic.
  24. Likely a saturday morning trip to the gun range and back to the house to watch football all day.
