FWIW, Pruitt and Ansley tagged team this kid. Gus didn't offer up or give much effort here. Kid was a HUGE AU fan and lean. Pruitt made him a priority and got him. This new wave of cov recruiting isn't going well with Gus. He needs to be face to face in person. HUGE miss on AU here. Steele, T-Will, CRG, Gus, the whole staff. Huge need for 2021.

It's not a "anywhere but Auburn" deal here. Could say a lot is "go to bama" but not "anywhere but auburn". Lot of AU friendly people on the high school and coaching levels here.

The whole Pickens / AU thing was something to watch. He was a highly rated player that the staff was ok with signing and ok going somewhere else. That video had been around for a while and everyone was aware, but the kid can play ball so it was seen as a unicorn. The grade deal is still something that could be looked into if someone really wanted. His grades were awful but he could have been in some learning disability classes that gave him the passing grade?

I'll say this. At least Clemson is getting some competition with the local recruits now. Mack Brown knows the game as well or better than Dabo.

He's been on the fence for a while. Mack Brown knows how the game is played. At least we have a couple of very good back ups in place, or should have in place.
