The Bammers are learning it was always Saban, not their university.

Our portal recruiting has left a lot to be desired. We seem to be unsure whether we need a QB or not. I just dont get thinking one of these guys isnt worth the money with what we’ve seen from the current roster.

Unfortunately, Kiffin coaches for the Texans.

He will be an “analyst” in title only Im sure. Just a way to get Trob the DC money, muschamp can slum it on an analyst salary

Great move. McGriff is a good coach, relates well with players and is a closer in recruiting. And good riddance to Ron Roberts.

Theyre expected to be replaced with Derrick Nix and McGriff returning. If this is the case, the recruiting will be better than before

Ive heard a couple of the beat guys say if Tua’s brother from Maryland gets another year, Au will be interested

I just know Freeze tried to hire him when he got here and his NFL job made the timing too hard to work out. Hes had several NFL and college jobs and I think D Line is his speciality. Lane hired him to Ole Miss and he left within a very short timespan. I want to say maybe he didnt want to spend so much time on the recruiting trail, but that may not be correct. Hes supposedly very much a players coach. Someone can correct me if Im off here.

If Kiffin, McGriff and Derrick Nix come aboard, I think itll be a better group top to bottom in recruiting. Also, unlike our previous coaches this HC is the driving force in recruiting most of these players. We’re not as dependent on the assistants doing the heavy lifting by themselves

I think Kirby would find, like Saban, coaching is a whole different animal when you cant go pick all the players you want and have to work the draft. He and Saban played a HUGE part in turning recruiting into the year round grind it is now. Its hard to overwhelm teams with better talent in the NFL

He was arguing with a fan about the coverage(or lack of) against Bowers after the UGA game. If Im not remembering wrong, it was within an hour of the game ending.

Well, guess we know why he hasnt announced yet.

Roberts spends more time airing grievances on his phone than a 12 year old girl. Like tweeting at fans 15 minutes after a loss.

The big OT from Miss St is supposedly down to AU and Arkansas. Matthews said yesterday he was supposed to have already announced. He may be our last hope at OT.

In your opinion, would Mcgriff have stayed if it was clear that Roberts would be out? This is the really frustrating part to me.

Is that the talk that Roberts lands at UF?

Austin is a well respected QB coach and Freeze is going to be the main play caller. I think it will help get everyone on the same page offensively. That was obviously not the case this season.

The Missouri DC just signed a new deal and talked about “unfinished business” there and that was a big reason he was staying. Two weeks later LSU waved more money at him and he bolted. This has always been a business for coaches, only now the players have the opportunity to treat it as such for themselves.
