  1. Did Geriner just get the one series? I know he wasn’t out there long. Seems really odd if they are wanting him to stick around.
  2. I never really thought we didn’t. That wasn’t what I was saying at all. My point was that people need to understand that it’s complicated. I’d absolutely love to get a more effective qb and and it work out smoothly. I just think that Freeze for whatever reason thinks it’s riskier somehow than getting someone. Maybe that thought process will change. Guess we will see.
  3. I grew a mustache for that one but I refuse to shave my head. 😎
  4. The fans sure sounded glad that he was. 😄
  5. To be fair Mccalebb did defeat the grass quite a few times. 😄 I miss that explosiveness credit to Stat! 👍🏼
  6. Plus you may run the risk of losing PT just because you are shopping whether you actually get one or not. Im glad I don’t have to balance all these scenarios out.
  7. With his shiftyness and speed he could be another threat to get some motion carries or maybe wildcat with a serious option of throwing. maybe Onterrio McCaleb with and arm. 😎
  8. Brock Glen? Seems like I remember the name during recruiting. He struggled pretty bad against Louisville but I’m sure he hadn’t gotten a lot of work before, having been the 3rd string guy.
  9. Looks like Freeze’s QB portal shopping concern could very realistically play out at FSU. I don’t really know what their QBs ceiling was but him deciding to leave because FSU is shopping isn’t shocking. If they strike out…😬
  10. I enjoy the added excitement but hate feeling like there won’t be that same attachment to players like there was with the 3 and 4 year guys that a lot of consider Auburn. I mean Cam (IMO) was the greatest/most dominant player I have ever seen but if you blinked you missed his time at AU. So I’m a bit sad that the new norm is probably just a year or two at most and we don’t get to talk about how we could see so and so’s greatness back when he was a freshman. With the way we are recruiting now though I’m going to be able to ignore the sadness a lot easier. 😄
  11. 👍🏼 And it looks like we are building that for 2025 💪🏼
  12. What corner am I in? You said Levis changed their program and I showed you that wasn’t true. My point was this is all about investing and the people with the money think your idea is hot garbage. That’s all I was trying to explain to you. I’ve been around your type before and I should have known you couldn’t understand it if you didn’t come up with it.
  13. I’m hoping he can at least get some development time during his 4 allowed games if they decide to go the redshirt route. Not sure that seems realistic with what we saw on HG, but it’s a different year and there may be lots of differences is the way things are handled in year 2. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  14. BUILD! Which is what the coaches are doing. You clearly can’t understand that there may be a legitimate reason as to why the coaches have chosen this path. I believe every scenario as to why your plan COULD be a poor idea has been addressed. So you either can’t or don’t want to wrap your head around it. Enjoy your pointless rant!
  15. Thanks for proving what I said, Levis didn’t do anything but almost repeat what they did 3 years before he got there. 👍🏼
  16. Right, because getting a championship this next year is the only way we can move towards one. That’s a ridiculous reach. Is Kentucky closer than they were? Seems like the evidence says they aren’t. Auburn’s (CHF) goal is to build a championship team. A team that is in the hunt regularly. You are arguing against the people with the most knowledge and the most to gain/lose (the coaches) not me I would love to add Cam Newton to the team and win it all but I’m guessing the coaches haven’t identified that person.
  17. It is if we aren’t moving toward one.
  18. We aren’t playing the same game we were three years ago. A transfer isn’t just another scholarship. It costs actual money beyond that and the ceiling for the cost is a team’s amount of desperation. College football is a business whether we like it or not and businesses don’t last long if they don’t get a return on their money. Feeling good for 12 months might be worth it or it might not be. If you don’t KNOW that you are spending money wisely, you don’t spend it. Clearly the people making the decision that actually control the money and where it goes, and by the way have much more information, think PT is the path to take currently.
  19. What would be the price comparison for the best QB available vs both Walter Nolen and Evan Stewart? If we could get those two and get two really effective O-lineman, could we play for some hardware??😌
  20. Is Kentucky better off now than they were before him in any way? Their record doesn’t show it. We have no way of knowing what their record would be…probably not 10-3 but very possibly 7-4 I didn’t say anything about a back up. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Backups become starters all the time and excel My point about our 4 transfers is that them coming in didn’t change things because the problems were what was around them. And I do believe it is pointless to spend money without a lasting gain, whether that be hardware or changing the trajectory.
  21. I’m not trying to argue that they don’t have value and can’t be lightning in a bottle, just that getting a transfer costs money now and it is a gamble with that money. It’s very possible to hit big but there is the real possibility to just be burning money. It seems that the thinking right now in the athletics department is that burning money is more likely than PT success.
  22. Payton is a transfer, I’m sure he is next.
