For the unenlightened like me, exactly how much can one make as a professional runner?

I freely admit that I know nothing about IMG outside of football.

That would involve admitting that IMG is a football factory and not a real school... that's not going to happen.

Based on my experience, 247 is guessing... especially this early.

While I get where you are, as I pointed out in another thread, it seems like Gus has been focusing on hiring specialists for the past couple of years. Porter is a recruiting specialist, one the field remains to be seen. Brown is an on the field specialists and is said to be lacking in recruiting. Same goes for Grimes. Woodson remains to be seen on the field, but we've heard he rocks it on the recruiting trail. It's almost like he doesn't feel there are enough coaches that excel in both areas, like Garner and T-Will, so he's going for the best he can get in one or the other.

Because he's good at what he does and has had time to get back into shape to handle the rigors of coaching in the SEC.

I think he has the potential to be the next Lutz, with the right coaching, which I know would make you happy.

Whether he was kicked off or left was always in question. He and Antwan Jackson left simultaneously. He wanted to play for Muschamp/T-Rob and thought he had that worked out, but then they pulled his offer. None the less, he's the #1 Juco Safety now and headed to Petrino's home for wayward football players.

Two of the top players in Alabama, next year are OTs. One has already committed to bama, but as we saw today, they are no longer invincible when it comes to stealing their commits.

We did better today than the school across the state. They got a taste of their own medicine.

According to him, it was just a really tough decision, because he liked different things about each school. He did say he decided on LSU because he knew it would make his family happy.

I think what people are missing is that he may have been a much bigger part of said blueprint because his departure from West Alabama appears to have taken their mojo as well. Maybe Kirby wasn't just a cog in the machine...

Looking at their 247 recruiting page, you'd think they had the worst day ever. Lots of "committed to" or "signed with" other schools on there.

Not sure if it means anything, but Auburn announced that they were doing a signing day wrap-up show at 2 pm... 30 minutes before Johnson and and hour and a half before Langham are set to announce.

Just wish it would have happened without him being replaced by another pain in our butt in the other direction.

There is definitely something to be said about being able to go "next man up".

That is the one school I will never hate losing a player to, because if they can make it there, academically, I would not want to deny them that opportunity.
