Peterson had Washington in the top 16 in recruiting however DeBoer had them in the 30s. He basically brought in a top notch QB from his previous school and injected him in with Peterson’s recruits. He has never cracked a top 25 recruiting class.

What I was reading elsewhere, that was cited as a likely reason they would go after a former assistant like Locksley.

On3 just ran a story on behind the scenes. As a back story, Payton and Jackson have stayed in touch with each other on a regular basis since high school. Jackson told Payton earlier this week that he wanted a change and was going to enter the portal as a WR. Payton immediately took the info to Freeze and Marcus Davis, who proceeded to get his high school WR film and was convinced to make him an offer. The whole deal took place in roughly one day.

Yeah I graduated from CCHS. They usually struggle. They often sit on the 5/6 A line and often get put into classifications they can’t compete in.

Saw an article on Facebook that it looks like we are going to offer a QB from Old Dominion that has 2 seasons left. Described as someone to mentor Walker White. It said Freeze was familiar with him because he carved up his Liberty defense last season and took them to the wire.

Freeze openly said in a post Aday interview that he could have had a QB in the first window if he had promised the QB1 position but he won’t do that.

I’ve been saying for a while now that Bo would do big things in this offense with our new line. I’d back a brinks truck of NIL to his house.

I hear some rumor mill stuff the other day that originated from students about him. As many of you know his kids are students at AU. Supposedly one of their friends said when we had the last search we were poised to hire Freeze. Maybe the recommendation from the search committee? Not sure. Whatever the case Green sandbagged the hiring and locked it up on background checks to the point that Freeze pulled out and Green got his man, Harsin. If that’s true I’d be surprised this time if it’s not Freeze.

I have a feeling Harsin is about to run his 2QB system. I saw an article the other day where he did it in Boise. One pass oriented QB and one running oriented. If one gets the hot hand they play more.

IMO UCF is a sleeping giant with all of this alignment. They are one of the biggest schools in America and have a lot of potential.
