I'm with you 100% on this. Last few years have been dreadful and sucked the fun out of watching the games. I have a renewed sense of hope now and look forward to see the progress made on/off the field this year and moving forward.

I'm just so used to being disappointed when it's this type of instate battle that I don't get my hopes up about flipping this dude. We need him bad and he could instantly make an impact. I will patiently wait for Freeze to flip this trend and will dance naked on my roof if it happens. But, I'm not expecting anything to change either. Wish it was not this way and wish I was not so pessimistic but we've been burned too often in the past.

Those are favorable numbers for CHF’s first season. Glad to see some optimism from the fans, just need the team to deliver this year.

Yeah I've been following the news of the new game for a while now, when I first heard about it I just couldn't believe we were getting a new one. Super excited for it, and while I hate waiting until next year I'm hoping they can make it that much better with all the features and gameplay. Also hoping we (in real life) can get something going this year so that our roster on the game is actually decent to play with (and for real-world enjoyment as well). I also wish there was a stronger gaming community here, especially during times like this where there is zero happening.

Yes, you're right. It's so important we show actual fight on the field this season and get some wins. We have the interest of multiple top recruits but Freeze needs to show we can back it up on the field before they will commit to him. If we come out and win six games next year, that's just not going to cut it. Potato-head set the bar low but that doesn't mean we can call 7 wins successful.

A lot to browse through here and we are still very early in the 2024 recruiting cycle, but I'm liking what I see from Freeze & Co. Only way to catch the elite programs in the SEC is to recruit at an elite level. The transfer cycle has been amazing but we can't rely on that every year, need to get the talent from HS. This time last year, this board was dim and depressing. Now, I feel a renewed sense of hope that we can again recruit at a high-level and get out of this awful situation Gussy and Potato-head put us in. I'm tired of being ho-hum about watching the games, I want to believe again. Believe that we can be a top 10 team and believe that we can crush our rivals. I live in GA so between the thUGA crowd and Bama-tards it's insufferable. I want teams to fear us again and I feel that we are heading in that direction, ever so slowly.

It's projected because the other starters were bad or have graduated (or transferred out). OL, WR and QB (which is most of the offense) were all upgraded in the portal.

This guy is such a huge get for us, he’s tall with good hands and is elusive after catching the ball. Can’t wait to see what our offense looks like this year!

That and the reports that over 200 recruits and portal transfers had reached out (including many 4 & 5 stars) within 12 hours of him being announced. I didn't buy it then nor do I buy it now. According to 247, the CU high school class has (3) 4* guys and no 5's. The transfer class has (1) 5* and (3) 4* guys.

Based on everyone's analysis, we are only 4-5 players shy of meeting all of our needs. That's not too bad considering the giant hole potato-boy left us in. Still have another the rest of this portal session, the spring session and NSD in February to make that happen. I realize a lot of the big-fish have committed or transferred already but we can still get the pieces we need to compete next year.

Will be nice to have a tall WR on our side finally.

At this point I feel pretty good about this coaching staff hitting all of those positions here shortly...what they have done thus far is down-right amazing. They are getting the players on campus, so we are making progress. I can't wait to watch this next recruiting cycle, we have the potential to do big things next year.
