  1. Sorry my acronyming got screwy. 😬
  2. Love my Tigers, but seeded 4 in the toughest bracket is not an avenue to the championship. If Auburn makes it that far, can our Tigers knock off UConn? Personally hoping UConn gets upset before then. hahahaha
  3. Personally, I want the best for Broome. If the talent assessments put him in the NFL, I wish him the best. But if the NFL is not yet blooming for Broome, I hope he comes back for another year instead of doing G-League or foreign league play. I love Cardwell, but he is no Broome. He doesn't really scare anyone. Since Trovore turned ut to be a dud, CBP will have to find another big.
  4. I don't remember any spring practice as closed off as this year. After all of the great recruiting and the returning guys, it's like sleepy corner here, like nothing being reported. Is this because CHF wants to try to keep our opponents from catching on to some super secret players? Or just not wanting to let Auburn faithful build up expectations? I dunno. I find this peculiar.
  5. This apparel deal is all about recruiting, especially in basketball. If you are not running Nike, you are at a disadvantage in BB recruiting. Same for T&F. As for FB, I don't think it is such a big issue. But I hope CBP gets his way on this, because otherwise he might be more inclined to leave. JMO.
  6. I've raised this question about CBP maybe leaving Auburn before. There are several factors that I think CBP would consider. I don't think OSU has any of the attractive features. So, as for CBP to OSU, I think NOPE!
  7. Um, well, on a road/neutral floor, yes. But of course, I'm hoping Auburn can actually beat teams like Bama and Kansas on a road/neutral floor. I think the SEC Championship games will tell us a lot about how well Auburn can play against tourney teams away from Neville Arena. I'm hopin' Auburn be smokin' !!!!
  8. This is why I was hoping UT would beat UK. If UT won, Auburn is in the top 4. With UK win, Auburn is pushed out despite our win over UGA tonight.
  9. Personally, I'm not a big fan of nepotism anywhere anyplace anytime. So I sincerely hope that is not a requirement for keeping CBP at Auburn.
  10. As to the OP -- Historically, the GOP (and its predecessor conservative ilk), was the protector of individual freedom, natural rights, freedom of expression, separation of religion and state, racial equality (Lincoln was a Republican), etc. The current GOP is all about conformity, everyone must think and speak and act like us! Suppression of women's rights and minority rights, suppression of voting rights, limiting freedom of speech (book banning and right wing agenda in schools), etc. March to the right wing drummer or die!
  11. 1. Daily Mail is a right wing tabloid. 2. Daily Mail is a British right wing tabloid, not U.S. There is zero factual info to even hint at this kind of stuff. Just more wingnut conspiracy theory crap.
  12. Auburn just needs to take care of business Saturday. Being part of the scrum at the 2-spot is a lot better than being left behind the bunch-up. Damm, Tennessee is playing tough ball right now, and Kentucky is peaking (as we could anticipate) as tournament time arrives.
  13. Not only that, but we are playing on a Tuesday instead of a Wednesday !!!!!! OMG !!!! But yes, our guys need to be focused EVERY game, because in the SEC, even the bottom dwellers like Misery can do upsets.
  14. This is really sad for Lior. He was maybe not destined for the NBA, but he worked his butt off for our Tigers and to go down with only a few games remaining is just sad. A reminder that life is not fair. But still, get healthy again LB and life is yet to come.
  15. Every time I get excited about a new commitment, my brother reminds me that, until the LOI is signed, they are not Auburn family.
  16. The apparel deal is certainly important to the coaches and the players, not just in FB and BB, but other sports as well. But the issue with administrators is more about money. Auburn ain't Oregon, so Nike is not dumping historic totals on our Tigers. UA is fighting for their lives, losing client schools. I know a lot of players are caught up in the social wonder of Nike. And that affects recruiting for some recruits. But is the issue great enough to encourage CBP to leave?
  17. Smith has improved his game 100% this year. He is a total force inside. Certainly more than Broome can handle by himself. That young man will definitely be playing in the NBA. I'll be interested to see how CBP handles this. Yes, a very important game, and a tough one. Auburn really needs to win this game and Misery to remain in the seeding for a bye in the SEC tourney.
  18. Knecht is a sure-fire first round NBA pick ---- and I am soooo glad he will be gone after this year!
  19. We will see UGA again in the coming weeks as SEC play winds down. Hopefully, Auburn can win that game even without JW. With a road game against UT and with Miss State coming to town, I'm hoping Auburn can beat down UGA and Misery, maybe pull out a W against MSU maybe. If so, finish in the top 4 in league play to secure a bye in the SEC championship. Is anyone other than me surprised that Auburn is now ranked #11 nationally, with the only SEC team ranked higher being UT? Mystery to me.
  20. Exactly what I said. Try reading comprehension.
  21. I have no specific insider information, just my longtime interest in Auburn Sports. 1. Auburn is once again in negotiations with UnderArmor vs Nike. IMO, this is a big issue for CBP going forard because it has hampereed his abiliy to pull in elite players in the at. 2. We all know that kids love Nike. We all know that CBP has lost top recruits to schools heavy crazy on Nike. Auburn is currently in negotiations with both Nike and Under Amour. If CBP decides he cannot win a championship at Auburn because (lack of NIL) or (Auburn brand affiliation), might he jump: Not to forget, CGP started out in the Midwest. Ohio State, Iowa,
  22. Baker-Mazara has been my favorite player since early in the season. Glad to see him do well as a start against UGA. That said, what a weird starting lineup against UGA, what an unusual defense, what strange configurations of Auburn players on the floor. That aid, with all the fouls called on our starters, thanks to CBP to getting cmbinations of players on he floor who could WIN this game! WDE!
  23. This guy is the very definition of "quack". A quack is a "fraudulent or ignorant pretender to medical skill" i.e., "a charlatan or snake oil salesman" I'm sure he loves his Florida big bucks salary that he receives for french kissing the butt of DeSantis. He receives much more for his role as a DeSantis government quack than he could ever earn as a bona fide practicing physician. I'm surprised he has not yet lost his license to practice from the American Medical Assoc and other legitimate medical practice societies. He is an an Abomination.
  24. There is no real *meaningful* argument here. A court of law at any level, including a state court, must adhere to *LEGAL* precedent and render a decision on *LEGAL* law/precedent. A court (at any level) cannot just arbitrarily plop some sort of notion into a decision that is not (1) rooted in the U.S. Constitution, or (2) rooted in previous court precedence (like federal and SCOTUS actual decisions, and (3) not supported by science. To just spit out some religious crapology as a basis for a decision is NOT within the scope of LAW. We already saw this when Alabama Supreme Court Justice was thrown out TWICE for his religious crapology. There is no LEGAL or MEDICAL or SCIENTIFIC basis for asserting that frozen embryos used for IVF are "persons." It's a totally ridiculous notion that is not even supported by any sort of Biblical text. This ruling will obviously be contested and overthrown. And if the idiot Bama government lawyers decide to pursue it further in the federal court system, it will be trashed. There is no LEGAL basis for this ruling. Just typical Alabama religious fanaticism imposed upon our citizenry. Another reason to vote these crackpots OUT.
  25. Many states and cities pass laws/regulations that limit public carry or the presence of firearms in public places. In fact even Republicans have been known to block weapons at their rallies and courthouses. This is not a de facto defiance of the U.S. Constitution or the SCOTUS interpretations of the constitution.
