You know Philip Marshall was always at his best when he would write feature articles on people or auburn history. Hthose are where his best skills lie. The landscape has changed for those veterans who wrote for newspapers. He’s trying to adjust now in this new media world and he’s having to write about things now I truly believe he really doesn’t like doing but it’s hard to give up the craft and the paycheck. I don’t know him but he does make more mistakes these days.

Yep. Offense has holes especially w RISP. We have clutch guys but others seem to always fail at critical innings. thry get enough hits and walks to have guys in RISP but that’s where it ends. in that KY game. Do or die. Get first 2 guys on in two different innings and got nothing. Even when we got behind in 9th first 2 guys get on and Land can’t bunt him over. poor execution period.

I don’t buy that we’re going to hold back NIL money until Harsin produces. NIL is about current high performing players getting NIL MONEY to keep them here. That doesn’t and shouldn’t be based on Harsin. if u do it like it is rumored then u will have current top players leaving Auburn for sure and you’re only hurting the football from at least having a strong base of quality players.

All the prior posters had some really good analysis on what this years team could be. the question to me is will we have the chemistry right off the bat w this new team like the 21-22 team had. remember, we all were kind of shocked w all the new players brought in that we started off looking so good and our record for the first 20 some games was phenomenal. And we started our SEC schedule winning our first 11-12 games. I don’t expect this new team to duplicate our great start and Pearl I think usually starts off slow and then takes off winning in the SEC and on. I still worry about our guards producing better and making the offense better. Remember we were 6-7 at the end of the year and it as directly related to teams ability to pressure and shut down our guards.

Yeah. I think I saw that show too and was wondering if I just missed Auburn being mentioned. I know their current player ‘experts’ all played at other schools and some definitely show bias. onlybthing I can think of is auburn got caught in that rain postponement and maybe that is why they weren’t shown. Don’t understand not showing ladies.

I agree w lot of our posters eval of the team and CMD. Unusually the difference is in the mentality of the HC and it shows in the players in crunch time. This team doesn’t have that. Now I will add the our best players are our Freshmen and even though they are veterans as some like to say they still had never been in the post season on a big stage so I’ll give them somewhat of a pass. and with our issues w injuries at pitching that definitely cost us giving up runs even though Penta pitched great I’m sure she has never been extended this much. so for next year they definitely need to work on being a better defensive team. Defense and great pitching always will get u farther in post season. Peralta HAS to get better I’m the inf or needs to be moved. She was a liability in tfe field and never really got better. Our hitters need to better hitters and by that I mean more discipline at plate and become better gap hitters. We have power but a hr or nothing is not going to win us games. And if the same problems pop up next year Dean should be definitely on the hot seat as he will be showing he is not a playoff type of coach.

Your so right about that catcher saving that wild pitch. I saw replay and that catcher made a major league save. 99% of catchers would not have saved that ball. geez. Also that Clemson pitcher not walking a single batter hurt. We were putting the ball in play late and they were making errors too but without the walks the room for runs dropped. But we had chances late but couldn’t clutch hit.

That’s the story of this team most of this hitting year. need to work on more gap hitting.

Sooooo on May 17th we offer and are interested and do alll these write ups and articles on him.... ....and on May 18th....we are no longer interested. Only with these recruiting coaches do we get this. Geez.....

lol. tbh, I don't remember him ever being 6'7". I thought he came to school about 6'5" and maybe grew to 6'6". Never realized he's 6'7" a;ready. His speed and agility has never been his problem other than he likes to only go north/south and doesnt have loose hips to get out of the way of a charge.
