  1. That you agree with @auburnatl1that the MAGA base are more likely to believe conspiracy theories? You made no point anywhere.
  2. Yes I was vaccinated. Do I think all the unvaccinated are MAGA? No. But the vast majority are. I looked up the % of the US population that have at least 1 shot and it actually fits what @auburnatl1 was saying about conspiracy theorists. Only 20% of the population have not received 1 shot.
  3. Not sure how you came to the idea that he was saying all conservatives were MAGA? He says at the beginning of the thread that he thinks it's the subset of conservatives that are more than likely to follow a conspiracy theory.
  4. They complain about inflation now, just wait until they have to start paying for the tariff too
  5. I'm not sure on the hurt Trump in the swing states part. I feel like a lot of the never Trump would vote 3rd party over Biden unlike last election. I also feel like there are more people loyal to Trump over Biden, meaning a higher probability they would be taking votes away from Biden.
  6. Okay, I used the wrong word, my bad. It doesn't refute the point I was making.

  8. Relating this back to the comparison, no I would not ask for money from my allies for the situation I'm in.
  9. The goal of the party is to win the election, right? If one side wins and 4 years later the losing side is too stupid to run a different candidate, you run the proven success. Why even risk making a change when you have already won this match up before? Take a stand on principle? You guys are running someone convicted of sexual assault.
  10. Typical leftist look? Your party is nominating a candidate that has lost 2 election cycles in a row (presidency and some seats) and instead of looking inwards at the actual problem, you are pointing fingers at the other side. I forgot that's your definition of "accountability" Get a better candidate and maybe you will force the Dems to switch candidates, and if not, guess what you will more than likely win the election.
  11. Did they view it as not attractive, or are there barriers of entry, whether intentional or not, that restricts who even has a possibility of becoming a pilot (passing medicals, cost of flight hours, etc.)
  12. Hold on, your complaining Biden, the current President, is the Democratic candidate because of his poor approval rating, but then say nothing about 1, Trump's bid for 2nd term and his low approval ratings and 2, don't say anything about giving him a 2nd chance after already losing to Biden the 1st time? I think there is some famous quote about doing the same thing multiple times and expecting different results.
  13. If this were my family, I would look for ways to increase income first as top priority, while also reviewing our spend and break it down into categories: necessities, discretionary, and excess. I would first look to my remove excess spend. With that low income, it would be extremely hard just to break even if you only spent on the necessities (food, water, housing, electric). You could even argue that phone/internet, but that's a different topic. It's also ironic that the ones complaining about the budget deficit are the ones that are also pushing for tax cuts, lowering our income, and making it harder to pay off said debt.
  14. Also when the best and most gifted realized they could make generational wealth without being in the public eye
  15. A couple off the top of my head: 1. A bill is much harder to revoke than an executive order. With an executive order the next president can come in and undo it. With a bill, 2/3 congress has to vote to revoke the bill. 2. Because it has more staying power, you can budget for it more easily. Where the funding will come from should be discussed before the vote. 3. It is the process the founding fathers intended us to use. Executive orders are quicker, but it bypasses the checks and balances put in place. In closing, I view Executive Orders as quick temporary solutions until Congress is able to formally finalize the solution (bill). We should not rely on Executive Orders for any long term solution. It is a bad look for Republicans to complain about the border for 4 years and when the Democrats want to sit down and finally discuss it, leave. To me it shows that they don't really want to fix the problem.
  16. How we ended the 1st half bailed out Bama
  17. Not sure why this guy is so upset about the foul call. He clearly got his hand and the refs called the foul before the kick out even happened
  18. I actually have mixed feelings on how Alaska did it, but if you are basing you judgement on losing/gaining a seat, you are looking at it the wrong way. Alaska had everyone rank the candidates, but then looked at the top result. If someone was over 50% then they won. If no one was over 50% they eliminated the bottom x and recalculated with the next highest available candidate and continued eliminating until one had over 50%.
  19. 1. Remove the electoral college. Every voice should count towards who is the president and we shouldn't rely on who drew up the best maps to determine the result. 2. Switch the voting system to a ranking system. This will move away from the 2 party system. As people will be more likely to vote for who they want rather than just the worst of 2 bad choices.
  20. You could also make a pretty easy argument that the last line in the tweet is projection.
  21. I don't think he is saying when all things are equal, one is more dangerous than the other. I think what he is saying, right now the extreme right is more dangerous because they are in control of a major party.
  22. Your argument loses all credibility with this statement. She wasn't walking through an open door, she was crawling through a window. If an unknown person was crawling through a window at your house would you shoot? I know based on previous threads a lot on here would shoot no questions asked.
