  1. He is. One of my best friends just joined the staff at Rome and said as much. Lots of Power 5 talent coming through there over the next 3-4 years.
  2. Kid is good. He also has a rising sophomore brother that will be a power 5 WR/DB. Supposed to be better than big brother from what I’m told.
  3. That’s about to change. The dynamic/make up of Buford has become a lot more diverse than it was 10-15 years ago. Expect their 5 star high school players to be day 1 or day 2 draft picks now. The kids they have this year are special. They are freaking LOADED.
  4. He will walk into AU one of the strongest players on the roster. 405+ bench and 385+ power clean as a 17 year old HS senior. 2 of my college teammates were his HC and DC/Strength coaches at Kennesaw Mountain. They spoke extremely highly of him and his work ethic. He may or may not be ready to play next fall, but I don’t think it will be from a lack of preparation.
  5. Jamarion Wilcox… we just a hat on the table or is he a legit possibility to commit?
  6. This was a lot of fun. It’s been since like 2016 that signing day had this many pleasant surprises
  7. Amazing what relationships and effort can do for HS recruiting.
  8. I know his HS HC really well. He spoke highly of this kid’s character at a camp we were at together this summer. Big pick up.
  9. To say the OL issues are squarely on Harsin is a testament to how loyal you are to Gus. Bravo.
  10. Huge pickup. Getting a foothold in South Fulton county will pay huge dividends. Westlake, Creekside, and Hughes are all LOADED over the next 3 years. WDE
  11. The lack of OL recruiting over the last few years is wild. In 2012 we signed SEVEN HS OL… we have not signed 7 total in the last 3 years!
  12. B. Harsin not knowing important in-state coaches/programs is a problem that needs to be fixed asap. I hope he gets this issue resolved soon. I am a HS HC in GA, at a school that has not recently and likely will not produce power 5 talent over the next several years… but Kirby still has my number and speaks to me at coaching functions. Relationships matter in recruiting far more than the average person wants to acknowledge.
  13. Where is Zion Puckett in this article? Not including a player that started multiple games is shoddy journalism. Do better Mr. Giddens
  14. And that is probably true. But coming from someone who is indeed, a HS HC, you probably wouldn’t want your kid to play for those guys if they’ve got that sort of agenda.
  15. First- if a HS HC is steering kids to one school or another, he isn’t coaching because he cares about kids. He’s coaching to boost his own ego. Second- Pat Nix does not strike me as that type, and it would not benefit his program to take that approach. Too many Auburn ties in the area would pull support from the program if he became anti-Auburn. Ultimately his HS program’s success is more important than any bitterness the Nix family may have.
  16. Height had some serious potential. Hate he’s leaving.
  17. This is unfortunate. Hate to see him leave, especially under these circumstances. Part of the culture shift.
  18. Haven’t talked to him in a few weeks. Planning on catching up with him after the new year.
  19. DL has a chance to be special this year. Would love to see Mason take more of the 2 deep rotation approach like Steele did on the DL, if there’s 1 position group that has legit depth in the program it’s the DL.

    WR1

I thought Capers was going to be that guy, obviously I was extremely mistaken
  21. Totally accurate. That build up brings back memories, I remember how fired up I was watching the play Clemson in the bowl game NYE of 2007 going into 2008. I was dating a chick that went to UGA at the time and I was talking cash s*** in an Athens bar about how good Auburn was about to be. How wrong I was.
  22. The offensive marriage of Tony Franklin and Kodi Burns.
  23. Stetson has a 2017 redshirt year, could play 1 more supposedly. JT was class of 2018 so he definitely has 1 more year if he wants it thanks to Covid.
  24. The following has absolutely ZERO merit to it, so if you want concrete info, this ain’t it. That being said, the Dawg fans I’m friends with (which is a large number) are convinced that the loser of the Carson Beck and Brock Vandagriff battle will transfer to Auburn and kill it under Harsin. The Bama friends I have, (also an alarmingly large number) do not want the above transfer to take place. In all honesty, I look for Beck to transfer after the bowl game and possibly Brock in the spring. If Stetson or JT stays, Brock is rumored to bolt. Just some rival QB chatter. WDE
