  1. Bo has been inconsistent, but he has had times when he exhibited more than competent QB play. TJ Finley looks the part physically, but his actual playing stats don't suggest that he would be able to win the starting QB job. We all saw what happened when his pocket collapsed. Deer in headlights comes to mind.
  2. The QB that isn't here is always the savior it seems. I doubt that he would win the starting job. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
  3. He had nothing to do with the good recruiting classes though right?
  4. Having a policy of requiring a mask be worn was never intended to do anything other than provide extra protection and combat the spread of the virus. There was really nothing valid to argue about. Vaccines have already impacted the numbers in a positive way. Imagine if we had done absolutely nothing............
  5. This team can pull defeat from the jaws of victory like no other.
  6. It can be true that it was time for a change and also true that Gus is a good coach and a good man. People so quickly forget that without him, we would still be looking back to 1957 as the last time we finished the year on top.
  7. If that happens, it is really going to be a long season. Your analysis is probably spot on, but ouch.
  8. They did call him 7 win Sark for a reason.
  9. It can be, which is a problem. However, that can't be held against this defendant. The judge went to great lengths to point out that he was the perfect candidate per the statute. This judge didn't care who the kid was. That is why he was brought in from Dothan, appointed by the Alabama Supreme Court. To be honest, people act like the kid was from an extremely wealth family. He isn't. Not being poor doesn't mean that you are wealthy. The statute has been applied to people of all different backgrounds, but I do agree that the subjectivity involved makes it prone to abuse. The truth is that there is no perfect system and that each case is different.
  10. Gus is a definite upgrade over Heupel at UCF. With the competition taken down a notch, there is no reason to think that Gus won't be successful there.
  11. You can make your choice. I have no problem with that. I do question how anyone can have 3 MDs in the family that all caution against getting a vaccine that they themselves have likely received. But by all means.....
  12. It is impossible to be detailed when the NCAA has yet to release its proposal of what the policy will actually look like. It will be interesting to see how much schools tell players that they will be able to make in their freshman years. When they fall short of that figure, how many will transfer because another coach told them they could make more at their school? Interesting times for sure.
  13. I'm assuming you would pass on all vaccines. If not, ask yourself why?
  14. One of the most anti-American things that I have ever witnessed is the working of a private prison.
  15. So much concern over abortion, yet very little concern about the poor having adequate health care. Interesting
  16. Someone can be personally opposed to abortion, yet not in favor of jailing people, including doctors, for deciding that they want to have an abortion. There are specific guidelines governing when someone can make that decision. For years, the issue has been used to herd votes more than anything else. The choice isn't an easy choice, but it isn't my choice to make and it certainly isn't an issue that should be decided by men. The number of people on the far right that will excuse every money loving thing that DJT has ever done, yet question a man that has always been a devout Christian, Joe Biden, continues to amaze.
  17. Mulkey had ZERO interest in the Auburn job. There is a list of reasons why she was interested in LSU. 1. Her mother lives in Hammond, LA. 2. She already has 16 years in the Louisiana retirement system. This contract will add 8 more and she will retire with a monster pension, in addition to her Baylor pension. 3. Louisiana native and ready for another challenge. 4. LSU was willing to do whatever it took to bring her to LSU. Not only is she making close to $3 million/yr, but she will be provided a new automobile for use yearly, a $50,000 moving allowance, a corporate apt in Baton Rouge for 3 months, and an $80,000 yearly personal travel allowance that she can spend any way she chooses. We have a coach. I like Mulkey, but there is no reason to believe that we can't be a top tier SEC team under Johnnie. Time will tell.
  18. I get it, but we have the capacity to produce those materials, specifically lumber related goods, and I have to believe that our domestic production will catch up, especially at those unreal prices. There isn't a shortage of raw materials in the country, just sawmill capacity.
  19. With a price tag of $92 million, I'm betting everything can be found. There is some serious price gouging going on with the cost of lumber these days.
  20. This had nothing to do with his family, although it is extended family, having some wealth and means. The local DA charged him as an adult, which clearly shows no favorable treatment. The local judges recused themselves and, as required by law, the State Supreme Court appointed a senior judge from Dothan to hear the case.
  21. He had to take a drug screen as a condition to his bond weekly. There was one test for alcohol, not that he was intoxicated when he took the test, but that there had been some consumption. He claimed it was from allergy medication, which the judge looked at and accepted.
  22. Great read and thanks for posting. That said, I wouldn't rule anyone out.
  23. The "they", in terms of the federal govt., is really us. Granted, too many Americans are lazy and apathetic, but they do have the power to impose change. The founding fathers penned a document and immediately began amending that document to better serve the purposes for which it was intended. The 2nd Amendment is a great example of this. During the American Revolution, the British seized all firearms in an effort to prevent rebellion. The 2nd amendment prevents the government from doing this. That said, those same founding fathers had no way to envision the 2nd amendment being used to protect someone's right to possess assault rifles. I would agree that government programs often grow and grow with no end in sight. That said, the size of the U.S. population has made some centralized regulation critical in many areas. We are a very stubborn nation. That has produced an unwillingness to learn from others around the world. We often let greed and stubborn pride get in the way of progress. For example, the federal government spends insanely large amounts of money funding a health care system that still breaks the backs of businesses and individuals demanding more money. The system doesn't produce results that are twice as good as those in comparable countries, yet we spend twice as much. Our military spending is also off the charts. Having a highly trained military is important, but spending as much as every other industrialized country combined is really indefensible. Lobbyists and corporate money have contributed greatly to both of these problems.
  24. Do you really think this country would be a good place to live if there was no government imposing rules? The wild West wasn't the kind of place to raise a family.
  25. You added a lot of qualifications to all that... lol. If a business asks you to wear a mask in their establishment you should. I just don't know why you think so many people have a fear of this virus or death? I personally know 5 people that have died from Covid. One healthy 70 year old, friend's father, is now in ICU not expected to make it. Preventing the spread of the virus is about protecting others moreso than yourself.
