  1. I'm not on this thread often so please forgive me for anything I might add that's already been posted... used to be HUGE into non-mainstream tunes.
  2. Your life is clearly very boring. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  3. Oh, what the heck... Dameyune Craig's profile:
  4. Probably not so much a wedge between AU and DC... probably more like Gus ^ DC would be more like it...
  5. Well, there ya' have it. DAG summed up the state of the Auburn football program perfectly. If you want to wonder what our problem, as message board posters is, it's right there in black & white. ....we are Missouri.
  6. And thus, why about this time every year, I've gotten excited about the upcoming season only to let it get tempered by experience. As I've said before....I'll say again. Gus, fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice, shame on you; fool me a third time, shame on me again...and again...and yet again.... If I'm fooled this year, it'll be because Auburn lost no more than 1-2 games and wins the SEC Championship. I'll forgive him for fooling me this time.
  7. Speaking for myself, I'm not sure it's all about just being a Gatewood fan over Bo in general. Rather in just going by the history of what type QB's seem to make Gus' offenses roll best, Joey is the prototype. I know it's been hashed and rehashed over the last few years, so I'm not trying to start THAT thread derailment again, but in a different type offense I might be team Bo. I actually would love to see him in an Oklahoma style O. Reminds me a bit of Baker Mayfield with his Alpha Male swagger (but maybe a bit more disciplined).
  8. He may have been. I'm not sure stars were even much of a thing in the early '80's. I was just making a joke since he was a 3 Sport Star. ๐Ÿ˜
  9. No, he was a 3 star. He starred in track also. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  10. Maybe the country at this point (maybe excluding CA or NY). I graduated from Central Gwinnett (c/o '90) and there were quite a few schools in Gwinnett, even back then. The number of schools has exploded since then.
  11. I don't blame you. Those uniforms were ugly as Hades. The few mins I watched they gave me a headache. Is that really what appeals to these young people now? Uni's that look like a kindergartner threw pastel chalk on them?
  12. Not sure who he WOULD hire but the Army OLine plays EXACTLY the way a "Gus" offense would need. Hand in the dirt and attack.
  13. Since you like the Shark Song, you might enjoy this. BTW, I recommend this guy's YT channel. He does amazing metal covers of pretty much.... everything.
  14. Buddy, I've got a secret to share. I like that song. I actually only recently learned the grandparent lyrics and movements and I about fell out of my chair laughing๏ปฟ. Y'all like that, look up the Wonky Donky song...
  15. If there is a Mrs. E, you'd better hope she NEVER reads this. ... just sayin'
  16. Not sure it will pan out. Auburn University offered him instead of The University of Auburn. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ
  17. No harm, no foul! No, I wasn't insulted, just caught off guard a bit. But, I understand, most of us are VERY raw right now and this Admin/BOT stuff is just adding fuel to the fire. We good!! I think that we agree that, with another coach (offensive system) Bo Nix can probably be a game changer. Unfortunately, how would he be utilized in 2019? Probably not to his main strengths and the running game, in particular, will continue to suffer. However, if 2019 plays out the way many (most?) expect, perhaps AU will have a new regime who can take better advantage of the talent in house (& recruit) by '20. Thanks for the kind words and understanding. I'm so glad to hear your son is well...that is SO heartening to me!!! God bless & War Eagle!!
  18. First...okay, so you were serious.... My mistake. With that said, my point is that though I believe Bo Nix may be quite a capable QB (maybe great even), the film I've seen he's more Sean White or Jarrett Stidham than Baker Mayfield or Tua Tagovailoa or Kyler Murray or Jalen Hurts or Kelly Bryant when a Gus Malzahn Offense needs one of those if he's going to stubbornly continue to run a pretend zone-read option running game. Sean & Stids have mobility...but that's not what makes the Gus run game go. And if Auburn is going to continue with the silly excuse of a HS passing game with no QB development or OLine to protect, then they need someone like Khalil Tate or Malik Willis (like Nick Marshall) where passing is not their first talent but rather running is. As for the alcohol problem, you SERIOUSLY took that way out of context. C'mon man! My point was that I imagine that due to his pedigree he will be more mentally & emotionally prepared for college football. Unlike Sean apparently was. But I think you knew that...you just were in attack mode. That's okay, I forgive you.
  19. I think you're being facetious but I'm feeling like Bo Nix is probably Sean White with more personal discipline. Pocket passer with mobility. Like Stids was supposed to be. Another square peg for Gus' round hole Offense. That said, he'll possibly be a great asset in the next HC's Offense ๐Ÿ˜
  20. I thought the OP was saying the Dual-Threats on Auburn's roster finally gave up and left. On a serious note, it's been said Khalil Tate is looking to leave 'Zona. Upon a little research, he appears to be a better option than Bryant would have been. With that said, I want Gus to sink or swim with his recruits. Not prolong the descent with another band-aid. Time for a true Program Builder.
