  1. Wow, you now looking negatively 2 seasons into the future and are talking about firing the coach because of some fantasy scenario you made up in your head? You just assumed that our current QB would fail, our incoming QB would fail and our entire ability to even recruit another QB period would fail. My goodness that's a level of pathetic negativity I don't believe I've ever seen before. Please stop all together. It's disturbing.
  2. Currently watching and playing along with The Last Watz...got the full show in great quality for free (little secret...also have pretty much any movie or show ever free ) Damn The Band was good. And the talent that joined that show..unreal. If you've never watched it all the way through..it's an absolute must for fans of 70s music. Very interesting show to jam along with. Very different styles from song to song.
  3. We have to stop with the Cam comparisons for the reasons you mentioned. OK then. He reminded me of Dante Culpepper at UCF. No Joke. Is that better? lol I still remember sitting in Jordan Hare watching this UCF QB do things a college QB shouldn't have been ready to do. It was UCF for goodness sakes! He gave our defense fits. He was already amazing then. I believe that was around '97? He was the playmaker that put UCF on the map. I'll take 10 of him every year.
  4. Wow. The lowest ones stock can get is being one year removed from 2 straight top 20 offenses? I guess he gets no credit and all the blame? No wait, that's Gus that's the blame...or wait....who are we blaming again? I'm confused. All on Gus IMO. Yes...we know...

  6. Apparently WAS would be the key word. Made some damn fine music. If you haven't seen it, watch the Muscle Shoals documentary. Tells the whole story. Great show.
  7. Guilty pleasure from old days? It's not terrible. No worse than me listening to this: Or this:
  8. I think you're caught in a viscous cycle. You moved to the country to get away from people. Now you can't stand to be around anybody, so you just stay at home in the country. It's like fat bastard. I eat because I'm unhappy. I'm unhappy because I eat. It's a viscous cycle...except yours is more like ...the less I like people, the less I go out. The less I go out, the less I like people. It's a viscous cycle. JK I hear ya though. I used to love going to City Stages and prided myself on how quickly I could move around in large crowds. Now if I see that many people I just look and say "I'm not going in there!" It must have to do with getting older
  9. I'd bet that was a good show. Also the last 2 nights there was the Last Waltz concert in NO headed up by Warren. I checked on tickets for it.........................$175 dollars face value for the freaking balcony! They sold out two shows at that price! I have a friend in NO. We discussed going. Saw the prices, hoped a dvd of the show came out one day. Id bet it was a good one though!
  10. Man I still wish that song was never made into modern country. It used to be a song people into good music knew well and most others didn't know at all. Now Luke Bryan fanboys sing along. Darius version wasn't terrible, just wish it had never been made..
  11. If you are a decent player and make a name for yourself there are contacts that help you in business, law, politics, and other fields. As bad as I hate to admit it, if you are a player from bama with a recognizable name it helps you after you graduate. Has to be this. If you look at the numbers, Alabama graduates make less money after graduation than most sec schools. Auburn is close to the top. Life after graduation in this case has zero to do with the quality of degree.
  12. I didn't know you could get them yet. I haven't seen them online, not that I wouldn't rather pick them up at the brewery. :cool:/> Guess I know where I'm headed........................ http://mule.net/tickets/?event=58193&cookie_attempted=1&cs-event=58193
  13. Bought my tickets to Govt Mule at Avondale today! The best show (in my opinion) that Bham will see this year. 5 months away. Got a long time to wait patiently!
  14. Sounds like my sister and her ex husband..she played flute and he played guitar....but they played a lot of bluegrass.. played at Marty's in that same time frame...
  15. Yep. Saw Warren and the Ashes and Dust tour there last year. Now hopefully I'll get the real thing at the same place. Ashes and Dust left a bit to be desired IMO. Also, they only played an hour and a half as part of a festival (with Perpetual Groove playing before them...unbelievably boring) . Govt Mule alone there should be much better.
  16. Govt Mule coming to Avondale in September! I will find a way to be there. https://m.facebook.com/events/2042423142649611/?soft=bookmarks
  17. Lol. I posted this one much earlier in the thread. Never would have thought in a million years it would be reposted :laugh:/> Long story behind my post. Guess I missed seeing a 400lb Hawaiian It was probably in the first 5-10 pages of the thread. For me, that song was one on a list of lullabies we used to help my daughter sleep when she was a toddler. She still listens to the song list I made for her then when she is going to bed.

  19. Man, sometimes you get a trio like that on stage and they don't share the stage as well as you'd like them to. Not the case here. Great stuff to start the day. Well they have played together for two decades...not to mention there were a good 4 or 5 other people on the stage as well
  20. You just reminded me that I know how to play that song on guitar (very easy). Had completely forgotten about it.
