I think you have to let everyone get it all out/vent. Its still very fresh and raw right now.

Support the team and not feel the need to defend, justify, or "yeah but" freeze's past and reputation.

there is a price/cost at which all the baggage is worth the fuss or at least taking a chance on the baggage, imo. 6 years/6.5MM is much to high imo. since 1) Auburn was making this move and 2) no one else was going after him (at least from what i understand) it would have been nice to see Auburn try and break the current paradigm of really high guranteed contracts and hire freeze at a low base and use a building incentive structure in his contract. if the guy is chomping at the bit to get back to prominence Auburn should have used that leverage more.

not kidding myself. i said "everyone is doing it". whats the difference between everyone else and freeze? and is that difference significant/important?

thems the rules at the time chief. and money to players at that time was much more influential than it is now. i honestly don't care about playing players, but to deny the impact it had at that time is naive. to attribute it to someone being a great recruiter is careless. my opinon of course.

its not the only thing. he has a long historic pattern of, how should i put this.....lapses in judgement. going all the way back to his high school stint. but this particular thing is not a big deal in a vacuum.
