  1. That’s what I can’t stand about all this. It’s all contrived. It’s not even really Deion’s fault. It’s this BS narrative by media and fans that Colorado is great and proving the doubters wrong. 1. The team has played 3 trash opponents. All three were close. Nebraska was blowout at end. 2. Prime isn’t owed automatic belief. He’s very much still unproven as a HC. No question Deion has improved CU football and it was a great decision to hire him. But so sick of “how dare anyone — like these opposing coaches and players — poke the bear that is CU football.” They haven’t earned that kind of respect.
  2. CSU absolutely gifted it to them. Now we have to hear about Colorado for another week.
  3. FOURTH insanely stupid 4th down call.
  4. This current Alabama team loses 5 games.
  5. This USF coach is coaching like an idiot. Gone for three 4th downs near midfield. Insanity considering they’d have backed Bama on their goal line all game.
  6. Anybody else heard about this kid??? No star recruit that is absolutely torching 7A football. He’s a teammate of Perry Thompson and making Perry a second fiddle. - 288 yards 3 TDs against Prattville - 267 yards 4 TDs against Baldwin Co - 119 yards against MGM - 300 total yards 4 TD against Baker Bowling ball build. Crazy quick feet. Why not take a flyer on this kid if we have a spot? https://247sports.com/Player/kolton-nero-46144074/
  7. It was a huge win especially given our past two years of losing close games. We need to appreciate that we have a staff that stole a road win when everything went wrong. We haven’t had that since Tubberville, I’d say.
  8. That’s the equivalent of saying the transfer portal wasn’t designed for free agency. Even if that wasn’t the intention, free agency IS a consequence of it. The intent of NIL doesn’t matter. The results do. Everybody always knew this would be the result. No one was naive enough to think the NIL would just be a few kids getting McDonalds commercials and the rest of CFB would remain the same.
  9. You can’t “sort of” pay players. There’s no such thing as “sort of” pro sports. Everyone knew this is what we were signing up for because when any form of cash payment to players become legal, pay-for-play becomes inevitable. Years ago, when NIL was barely even proposed, Herbstreit gave the perfect example. “Auburn may say to a kid, come to our school and we’ll have autograph sessions where you’ll get paid $5000 a pop. Alabama will counter with offering 10 grand a pop.” And how could you stop it? How’s it even illegal? Technically they ARE getting paid for their likeness and name - just in a particular jersey. It just makes me mad when NIL advocates act surprised that the game is ruined. This is what was ALWAYS going to happen and what everybody warned against.
  10. But don’t you know the only thing of value in life is money??? But seriously, thanks for sharing this!
  11. It very much was, though. Everyone who’s ever advocated for it knew that.
  12. My answers: 1. Tre Mason 2. Zach Etheridge 3. Robert Johnson 4. Cadillac Williams 5. Junior Rosegreen 6. Ben Obomanu 7. Stephen Davis 8. Chris Shelling? Unsure of this one. 9. Karsten Bailey
  13. I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the new sports trivia game called immaculate grid. The goal is to fill up a grid full of players that meet intersecting statistical requirements. (If enough people need help with how the game works, I'll post a little tutorial). I thought it might be fun to do an Auburn version. It's an honor-system game, so no googling for answers and no peeking at others' answers until after you've submitted yours. If you guys like it, I'll try to come up with a new one as regularly as I can. Here we go! Good luck and War Eagle! ANSWERS: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
  14. I mean I guess he sort of brought it on himself for the fakeout but it made me really sad there was CLEARLY way more cheers for the Bama hat than Auburn. Those HH people/students need to support their kids wherever they go.
  15. Hook Hands has to be a staple with Hooks emerging as a WR1
  16. Mean Green (Jyaire Shorter) Quezbians (Jarquez fans) Silky Wilky (Wilky Denaud) Hilltopper Rush Stopper (Gunner Britton) D Wade (Dillon Wade) Rim Reaper (JD Rhym) Portal Pushers (this year’s OL) Louie (Connor Lew)
  17. Let’s brainstorm, folks. Here are a few I’ll offer to the board. Venmo me a nickel every time you use one. Faulk ‘em up (Keldrick Faulk) Fairweather Fans (RivaldoFairweather) Fair catch (Jay Fair) CB3 (Caleb Burton III) Mack Attack (McAllister & McLeod) Batman (Brian Battie) Deuces Alston (Damari Alston) Shook by Hooks (Shane Hooks) Payton Fanning (fans of Payton Thorne) Baby Bengal (Alex McPherson) Need some more
  18. I love it. I hope it is echoed every time so that the “Auburn persecuted poor innocent hard working Bryan Harsin” narrative becomes impossible.
  19. I count them as prospects we are already on. I guess I’m asking about guys that we either haven’t been heavily pursuing to date or that you could see us pursing in the near future.
  20. What an awesome job CHF is doing. We’re barreling towards a top 10 class, no? Also, in the case of Bolden and many others AU was completely out of the picture and CHF made up ground in a matter of a few months. Are there any remaining or committed prospects you guys see Freeze surging with to help finish out the class?
  21. Sounds like this commitment will mean very little. Kid just isn’t ready to pick. Will go all the way to ENSD regardless of who he picks.
  22. Personally I know nothing. But when I saw KJ said “I almost committed” during BCW I thought that was huge. Nobody has mentioned that much. I mean unless the kid gives lip service or exaggerates, how is Auburn not the pick just a week later?
