  1. Neutral games are just as scary as road games for this Auburn team. In March, they’ll be shooting in unfamiliar gyms without an avalanche of energy from AU fans - two elements shared with a basic road game. And we haven’t faired well on the road. Put it this way - neutral site games in March are much more similar to road games than to home games. And that’s concerning for Auburn.
  2. Cheating doesn’t even exist anymore in terms of pay for play. I don’t get their logic.
  3. Malcolm has absolutely no fight for the ball. Beyond me why he plays a down. Nothing but drops.
  4. Dumb to decline the hold. 2nd and 17 vs. 3rd and 7. No clue what CHF was thinking.
  5. Why didn’t we take a timeout??? We would have had 1:30 to drive.
  6. Interesting camera angle choice with skin tight spandex pants
  7. Any predictions or insight on who we could steal from their current class, as well as who will hit the portal? Cam Coleman is an obvious name. Others?
  8. Got a bad feeling boys. Kid is literally FROM the Portal!!!
  9. Johnny and Jacky? 🤓 Johni and Jahki? 😎
  10. Robbie is a wild horse. Super fast. Not very controlled. No sense of smoothness. Runs like people are chasing him (which, they are, but you know what I mean). I don’t think I’ve ever seen him juke anybody. He runs through arm tackles and DOES have elite speed and quickness. But outside of the context of QB I’m not sure he’s an elite athlete.
  11. Still hope we just play the best.
  12. As a receiver who literally disproved that theory over the course of my career, I can tell you it’s an acquired skill. I went from no-hands to no-drops in my extremely humble time at the position. Catching a football is a trade. You learn it and practice it. Some guys take to it easier than others but it’s still purely a skill. To make the more difficult catches you have to master body control, awareness, fluidity, focus, and hand-eye. But that’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about basic, uncontested, hit-you-in-the-chest balls like the ones Fairweather dropped. With no exaggeration, those should be caught 100 out of 100 times by a disciplined receiver. No more difficult than catching a routine fly ball.
  13. All due respect, we have about two, maybe three, Power 5 level wide receivers on this team. Varrius Johnson is one. Hooks is debatable. Need to see more. Jay Fair has the talent to create separation but is too inconsistent with his hands. Everybody else is too young or just hasn’t gotten a chance to improve. The latter you can blame on MD. The rotation is crazy. You don’t play 10 wideouts. Ever. But especially when you’re strapped for talent. Find 4-5 and stick with them and let them develop.
  14. No, it’s like a direct result of coaching emphasis. If guys don’t take BP, they won’t hit as well. If guys don’t practice free throws, they won’t make as many. If receivers don’t get on the jugs machine, run basic traffic drills, and practice high pointing, they won’t catch as many. If MD wanted to put an end to the drops, he could. I’d have them out there all damn day getting basic reps until they got sick of it. Anything hand-eye HAS to constantly be reinforced.
  15. If I’m not mistaken, he has an insanely fast 40 time. Might take him a while to get going but he’s supposed to actually be fast.
  16. It’s like some of y’all never lived through the Tommy Trott years.
  17. ALL MNC titles are BS claims. It’s the only sport on earth whose champion is determined by the opinion of fat sports writers who watch 1% of the action. Also the only sport where over half the field is ineligible regardless of results on the field. It’s all a joke, and there will never be a true national title until ALL teams control their own destinies, with all having a shot at the crown. The expansion to 12 will likely do that. So for the “pre-actual NC era” we should definitely claim 2004. If it’s challenged, the rebuttal should be “prove we weren’t the best team in CFB that year”.
  18. What we’re seeing is fine for year 1 considering we’ve had three straight 6 or less win seasons. The most important thing is CHF is RECRUITING. We don’t have the dudes to win rn. But they’re on the way. Be patient. Freeze’s biggest mistake so far was betting on Thorne and not getting a better QB transfer. He also may have made a mistake giving up play calling. But everything else has been decent.
  19. I don’t agree with this logic. He’s unproven. We have no idea how his program will trend because he’s never done this before. Currently not recruiting so hot.
  20. Every day that passes, Harsin’s legend of ineptitude grows.
  21. You actually raise a great point though. Our start and Colorado’s start are very similar. But not a single soul here was saying Freeze had done a good job after his 3-0 start. Nobody was acting like we are supposed to be feared. Nobody has said Freeze is the next Saban. Because there’s no sign of that right now. Look how Colorado has handled their trash 3-0 start vs. our trash 3-0 start. Deion may be awesome one day but today’s not that day. Tired of hearing about them. They need to prove something before “reading receipts” and declaring themselves the next dynasty. Just like we need to. And for everybody talking about “wait until _____ year”, CU is currently 63rd in recruiting for 2024. Two four stars. I thought he was supposed to be bringing in the #1 undisputed class from here on out.
