Is there a list of possible visitors for this weekend? I haven’t seen anything. I know last weekend we got 2 commitments from guys I had no idea were even visiting, so not sure it will be extremely helpful. But still, I like lists. 🤷‍♂️

I wonder if we could pull Noland AND White? That would be an impressive QB haul!!! If not, I think I like Noland a little better, but obviously it’s really all about who CHF and staff like better. I like both of them much better than Posse, which might explain why he isn’t on the table any more.

So, I guess I can cross Posse off this list. Not unexpected at all! Hopefully we have some people living at certain HS in AL, GA, and FL. These states, especially GA and FL are LOADED with talent every year!!!!

Agree on the Sanders thoughts. He is a good and experienced QB. If everything were “normal” he would already be on his new team building chemistry with his new OL and WRs. I think, like others have said, either the injury may be worse than everyone thought and he won’t be 100% in the spring or he just wanted to cash in as much as possible. 🤷‍♂️ I’m not sure how our coaches would’ve known either of those things without a visit. But it is very clear that something is off with his recruitment.

How about our DL coach too! OL and DL have received a tremendous boost in the last few weeks!!!!!🙌🙌🙌

JMHO, he’s on the team for the Spring so that he can graduate. If by chance, he happens to be QB1 coming out of spring, he will likely stay with the team. If he’s not QB1 he will be a graduate transfer in May.

That is if they enroll for Spring semester. A player could visit AU on the 19th, and even commit to AU, but after the 18th they cannot enroll for the Spring semester. They will have to miss out on Spring ball and enroll in the summer. So it would be ideal to get our transfers locked in before the 18th. But we can and will continue to explore the portal after that date.

Huard would be great! But he’s a Pacific NW guy. Not sure he would be interested in such a big move. 🤷‍♂️ In addition to your list, the Costelli kid from Troy looks interesting. And Carson May may have some potential. There’s also the possibility of someone who’s committed elsewhere might be interested in a change of heart. (Like our new C) OR there are some guys who haven’t entered the portal yet, but our coaches have a good idea they will! (Like our new LB)

I agree with your assessment so far. At this point I would say it has been really, really good. We just need a QB and an Edge who is starter material! We can get an Edge in May and he can be fully acclimated by the start of the season. QB needs a little more time, but as others have stated, our schedule sets up well to continue the gelling process a few weeks into the season As important as those 2 positions are, OL was far and away the biggest area of need and our staff knocked it out of the park, and they might not be done yet! Once we get a legit SEC starting QB and Edge, (and I think we’ll add a couple more pieces just to show off😁) we will have ACED the portal!!!

Yes. Definitely A+ for effort!!!! Talent-wise in this class he took us from an F to a B- in a matter of weeks. That’s incredible! I don’t want to get my hopes up too much for future classes, but this is the dude who found a way (within the rules or not😁) to haul in the #1 class in America at Ole Siss! That’s setting the bar ridiculously high!!!

The last 4 years have been brutal!!! In terms of talent (compared to the best) we didn’t score an A. But it has been an incredible success that we have pulled off a B- in a matter of weeks when everyone else has been working all year long. An A this December wouldn’t surprise me at all. By the 2025 season we should be close enough that we’re competitive with those guys.

When you said BB earlier, I didn’t realize you were talking about Butthead’s dad. But yeah, it makes it even sweeter when we fill a very important need and make Burt break his toe kicking the wall. That is a guy who is very easy to not like!
