Irony again…

2002 remains the lone SEC road game I’ve attended and it was glorious. We had no expectations of winning that day without Cadillac and Ronnie. To be in that stadium with a bunch of very quiet banners was amazing.

If we hire Freeze…JABA 🤦‍♂️

All I know is IF we do the impossible Saturday there better be score shirts that say “Go Crazy Cadillac! Go Crazy!”

Caddy won’t be the coach. Shouldn’t be either. That said, part of being a fan(fanatic) is being emotional. Folks on here who ARE emotional about him being on that sideline shouldn’t be criticized. Its been a rough couple of years. They need something positive to cling to. There are fans who understand why Caddy shouldn’t be HC and there are those who don’t. None of those fans will be making the decision. No need to be a di$# to those who are dreaming of a Cadillac administration at Auburn. Let em dream 🤷‍♂️

I appreciate your outlook. Several things come to mind here however. A position coach with no coordinator or HC experience? Odds are long against that working. Auburn will almost always have to figure a way to compete with Bama, UGA and LSU while having lower ranked recruiting classes. Not to say we can’t recruit big time but there are just built in advantages for those teams. In that spirit, it’s not important to just have an elite recruiter. You gotta have a coach with a plan on and off the field. Some examples… - If it was all about recruiting then we wouldn’t have been within one play of beating Bama last year or LSU this year. - If it was all about recruiting Gus wouldn’t have beaten Bama 3 times. - If it was all about recruiting Texas A&M should be number one …they have the same record as us currently? Let me say this very clearly…Recruiting is HUGELY important…but having a good roster of solid talent that a good coach can utilize in a solid game plan with good fundamentals is also important. We’ve seen a good bit of talent wasted at Auburn in recent years. I absolutely love Cadillac. I love the energy and passion he is bringing in a time of need. He also is absolutely not ready to be a HC in the SEC. I hope he is retained on the next staff and one day he’ll hopefully get his shot. It just isn’t this day.

I guess we should just put this guy on ignore. He’s just being a di$# for the sake of being a di$#.

I love Caddy and his passion. Despite the outcome last night was fun and reignited my passion for Auburn football. But he isn’t ready to lead a big time program in the SEC. He just isn’t. I hope he is retained and gets more experience under (hopefully) a new great coach. Not out of the question that he’s walking our sideline one day as the HC permanently but it won’t be this go around.

Yeah I was being sarcastic. I’ve been joking around for weeks that it would be him because like you said it would be very JABA.

Given the circumstances, I think it’s pretty damn remarkable what this staff did in basically 3 days. Took a downtrodden team on the road to a tough environment against an SEC foe with a winning record. Fell behind and then fought their ever loving asses off and nearly won it. I’ve had enough of being negative but if others feel that need more power to you.

That one hurts but felt emotional watching our Tigers for the first time all year.
