  1. This is more in the 'Random' instead of 'Funny' category:
  2. Last season was the one small step. This year is the giant leap forward.
  3. Don't understand this at all. Seems to me there should be some consistency in levying suspensions. The suspension for uat's Mo Wague was handed down 3 days ago and was explained this way. Note that 'elbows' are not listed:
  4. Yeah, that's true. His first instinct when getting the ball down low isn't to score, but looks to kick it out to somebody behind the arc. He's a big bodied 6-11 and doesn't seem to realize what a threat he could be when close to the basket. He should learn (or be taught) to go up & get all the lay-up distance shots. Few will block him and even if they do, they'll have a good chance of fouling him.
  5. Saw this and thought this is a good move for him. UCLA was struggling and if they're going to be competing in the B1G anyway, then why not be located there?
  6. A couple of stats for AU I saw worth noting: 1 TO in the 1st half & only 5 total for the entire game. Moore got 4 offensive rebounds.
  7. Just watched #2 Purdue beat #6 Wisconsin on Wisky's home court, 75-69. They looked pretty athletic to me. Their 3 guards: Jones, Smith & Loyer scored 20, 19 & 12 points while Edey scored 18. Edey is one heck of a force around the basket too. You ain't going to beat him driving to the basket. Hot shooting from behind the arc, maybe.
  8. Your guess/speculation is as good as any other. He's an exceptional talent that AU & everybody else would love to have in the fold but I don't see it happening, especially after the initial commitment to uat, de-commitment then recommitment ... I believe RW has enough self-respect & dignity to not turn his recruitment into a clown show with yet another de-commitment from uat(!) He'll do fine wherever he is regardless of who the OC is.
  9. Thinking? You give them too much credit. This is more accurately called learning ... FAFO learning.
  10. I noticed that CBP will have the team contest the inbound pass but then as soon as the other team gets it in, AU will then back off to half court & rarely press full court. With as many players as they're substituting, I think AU can afford to full court press a lot more often than they do. I'd like to see them start off pressing full court and try to tire the other team out & force more turnovers. Yeah, I know it's a risk, but it's also a strategy that could fit the whole rotating as many as 9-10 players. That and rebounding 101. If the team is going to live & die with the 3-point shot ... even a 40% success rate means 60% of the time there's going to be a miss & a chance for an offensive rebound.
  11. Fundamentally unsound wrt to rebounds. Shot goes up, look to block out your man on defense ... including FTs. On offense when a shot goes up, have the shooter follow his shot & others crash the boards looking to grab an offensive rebound instead of admiring the shot. It's not terribly complicated. Our opponents seem to get it.
