That's true but right now, Napier is getting all the hot seat attention. I have immediate family who are UF grads and none of them are happy with Napier & actually look forward to when he's eventually replaced. Speculation is Napier has one more year to show some progress. Personally, I think it's down to the first 6 games or so.

He's right ... it doesn't sound like much.

Jim Thorpe. I remember reading about him getting presented the gold medal for the decathlon by the King of Sweden at the Stockholm Games where the King tells him "Sir, you are the greatest athlete in the world." Thorpe's reply was "thanks, king." ... Boss(!)

One thing I liked seeing was the tight man-to-man defense, and especially pressuring the in-bounds pass -- thought that got IU out of sync & contributed to the turn around. With 8-10 players getting minutes, AU can play that kind of defense all game long.

Indiana is a huge university with an enrollment of +45k. I was listening to an AU podcast recently that stated Atlanta is their 2nd largest alumni association chapter so it shouldn't be surprising they showed up in force -- all in vain, though because AU smacked 'em with a triple digit score(!)

It's a little anti-climatic since the Dodgers were identified as leading for his services since talk of his free agency started. Have watched him play a lot & was hoping the Mariners would somehow be in the running. God knows they desperately need some bats in their lineup. I was thinking around $500M but that was with him hitting and pitching. $700M is just ... mind-numbing stupid crazy!

$700M -- 10 years: Ohtani to Dodgers Wow seems so ... inadequate. And they don't know if he'll ever return to his pitching form, too.

Yes, the East has been relatively weak during Smart's time at UGA but he has recruited well & accumulated enough talent there to transform them into a perennial powerhouse. No, he's not going to be fired no matter how restless the natives become -- results matter & 29 in a row going for a 3-peat is ample proof. What I find remarkable about his 1-5 record against uat, only 1 game has occurred during the regular season. How does that happen? They (both UGA & uat) need to schedule each other more often.

He's an exceptional DC. Maybe the experience he had at Miami taught him what not to do as a HC, so you never really know.

The best broadcast moment after Kick-6 was Danielson saying that Auburn was able to run it back because they had athletes on the field while "Alabama only had fat guys." LOL -- nearly fell out of my chair hearing that(!)
