C'viewTiger 242
Has Shaw committed to anyone? www.google.com Seems like 'http://www.aufamily.com/forums/topic/130159-4-dt-elisha-shaw/page__st__144' is a good place to discuss Elisha Shaw's commitment as well. But since you bring up google, it doesn't appear that Shaw has committed. E or someone in the know might be able to elaborate.

autan 750
No change on Shaw. He is still likely not a take for anybody. How can a 4* be a not take for anyone?
WaynesAUworld 179
No change on Shaw. He is still likely not a take for anybody. How can a 4* be a not take for anyone? Medical issues that keep him from being able to play football. Everybody is waiting on the doctors to clear him.
auadmin 20
I see your point. Take on a guy with a back or neck injury, and your setting your institution up for some serious liability. I hope I am wrong and this kid can play ball somewhere, someday; but I doubt we are going to be the ones who take him.
NoALtiger 3,873
Is this kid medically cleared to play ball? Anyone? If he is, you'd think someone would take a chance on a 4* player of his talent. Heck, we are taking a couple kids this class that missed their entire Senior seasons of ball and it doesn't seem like such a big deal to do so. Also, neck injuries (his injury) and head injuries are obviously more serious. They are handled a lot differently than knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.

Most friendly?LolElisha Shaw would definitely be a take if he got cleared for any school. He was very high on AU and has visited several times. I hate it for him because he is a real talent at DT. I'm glad they caught it though, not worth losing your ability to walk. This will be interesting to watch in the future.

This article is about a month old and says his neck requires surgery, and that doctors informed him of that a week before his senior season. That's the first I've seen of that, and I wonder if it's true why it hasn't already happened. I saw him on the sidelines at a Tucker game and he didn't appear to be wearing a brace. From his comments it appears that UGA and Alabama are recruiting him the most actively now. This guy has really faced some challenges, and I wish him well.http://247sports.com/Article/Army-All-American-DT-Elisha-Shaw-hoping-for-return-to-field-160430
