I agree. I don't have the best picture, but it looked to me like the catcher caught the ball outside. If so, he had to get his glove over awful fast. Maybe he did. I think it was just a way to practice that play when the opportunity and the challenge presented itself. He was probably successful, but the home plate oficial is doing a poor job today.
