rolltoomer 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Share Posted November 17, 2004 The worst upset I recall (and I recall a lot of stuff) from uat was 1984. There was no way uat should have won, but they did. I will never forget the stunned look on the Au players' faces at post-game interviews. You know or have heard about 1989, the first game in J-H, when uat was #2. I used to work with a guy who played basketball at Alabama back in the late 50's. Auburn was undefeated and heading on to the National Championship. He was living in the athletic dorm (back when that was normal) and thought he would help pump up the footballers. Said he went up and down the halls, going, "Hey, you can do it! The game is winnable! Just believe you can!" He said that they looked at him and said, "Are you crazy? No way." Auburn won 40-0. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
