Good luck tonight...

I've gone back and forth, but I woke up today with a good feeling. I think VT wins 20-16.

I know that they have been bombarded with the BCS / What if / etc questions, but your boys, even your coach, just do not give the focus-on-VT feeling. I'm sure they will come ready to play, but perhaps the focus has not quite been on this game.

I just don't see either team scoring a ton of points. Both defenses are just too good.

Good luck and may the game be competitive and injury-free for both sides.

I think you may be suprised to see jusr how focused they are. I think they respect VT quite a bit and realize a loss at this point would just give more credibility to the arguement that they shouldn't have been in the Orange Bowl anyway. I guess we'll know for sure in about 12 hours. here's to a good, clean, injury free game. I hope I enjoy it more than you do ;)

I may not even watch the game any more! We don't have a chance!!!

However, it is strange, I woke up with the same feeling I have had for the last 14 games and..........

WAR DAMN EAGLE!!!!

No doubt VT will be ONE of the best teams AUburn has faced this season, and beaten. Here's hoping for a clean, well-played, AU VICTORY tonight. All you folks in NOLA better be loud this evening! Wish we could be there - but will be watching on the HDTV in the "Auburn Room". WAR EAGLE! Beat those Hokies!

VT is one of the most underrated teams in the country, any slip up by AU (Turnover(s), Penalties), it could be a Long Night for us. Their defense is Very fast especially when Xavier gets in there on passing downs.....Here's to hoping we don't have any Passing downs (ie Third and long).....Carnell, Ronnie, Jason, Carlos, Junior, Jay Rat., Jeremy, Danny, and the rest of the Seniors on this Awesome team....this is your Last Game in a Auburn Uniform......Make it count. Yall have already made a lasting impression....Now make one on VT's Face, of your Cleats. War "BY GOD" Eagle.

A very good point---the team that wins will have success on first down and stay out of 3rd and long situations. Either defense will dominate if the offense is put into predictable spots. Field position is a must in this game.

Hokie, I think you will find that the majority of AU fans think we got the hardest draw of all bowl games...we think that you guys are better than USC and OK...and that we better have our helmets strapped on.

No, AU is not underestimating this game.

AU has been completely focused for ALL 13 previous games. This will be no exception. If VT wins, it won't be because AU was not prepared or focused on the game.

This year is different. Third and long does not mean what it did the past few years. I'm quite confident that Jason will make the correct read and find Courtney, Cooper, Devin, Ben, Anthony or Ronnie open for the first down. Curious, I welcome your team to try and stick 8 in the box. It'll be a long night either way.

Tigers bail out early: Virginia Tech players noticeably outnumbered Auburn players on New Year's Eve in the French Quarter, where thousands of party revelers rang in the new year.  The reason? Not many Auburn players took in the festivities, and most of those who did returned to their team hotel early.
"We went out the first couple of days, but everybody's pretty much locking down for the game now,'' said defensive end Stanley McClover, who added that he has avoided most of the traditional tourist attractions - including the casinos.
"I came in early,'' said senior center Jeremy Ingle. "I had to get out of there. I went down (on Bourbon Street) about 9:30 and I couldn't handle it. People were fighting all around me. A lot of things were going on that I didn't want any part of.''

Call me crazy but that sounds like a group of guys on a mission...not sure what you were dreaming about. ;)

This may be a field position battle and maybe a few fake punts. VaTech has been in more close game than auburn this year and in the end,I hate to say,the dream dies. VaTech 23-14.

It's going to be close, no doubt. But to say Auburn falls apart at this point really lacks any substance...we've heard that crap plenty this season and here we are...

I would be shocked if tonight is a blow out in favor of either team. Only way I could see that is if one team commits a slew of turnovers. Teams are very even and I expect the winning team to win by less then 7.

Good luck tonight and I hope for a clean well played game that both schools can be proud of at the end.
