Status of Tre Smith's medical Redshirt?

Does anyone know the status of Tre Smith's medical redshirt? I know that if he doesn't get it, this will be his last year of elligibility.

On the depth chart on auburntigers.com, he's listed as a Junior. Based on that, I guess they expect him to get the medical redshirt.

Wishbone, Tre Smith played his freshman and sophomore years, redshirted last year and has two more years of eligibility.

Smith, who earned a spot in Auburn lore by running the Tigers past Alabama in 2002, played sparingly in three games last year before winning a medical redshirt. Irons is a transfer from South Carolina who probably had the best spring of any running back last season, but he had to sit out because of the transfer rule. Stewart and Lester got in for mop-up duty after Williams and Brown had done their work.
